The Weaponization of Information in the War of Terror

If terrorist incidents are always tied back to shadowy groups linked to Al Qaeda or ISIS, an online, independent media might connect those dots to show how Al Qaeda and ISIS were literally created, fostered, funded, trained and equipped by the UK government, the US government and their allies across the world as a tool in their quest of dominance of the Middle East and control of their domestic population. But such a story can only be told on a free and open internet, where independent voices continue to reach the masses and inform them of the truth about these terror groups.

Is There A Quiet War Going On Between USA & Germany? [Part 1]

June 8, 2017

I’ve had this suspicion for some time that some sort of quiet war, punctuated – or perhaps better put, underscored – at times by apparent “new depths of cooperation” between Germany and the USA. And, for “Germany” here one might also say, to some extent, continental Europe.

Now, before I go any further, I need to remind people of some fundamental truths: (1) since 1871, and for the foreseeable future, Germany has been and will continue to be the economic and industrial locomotive of Europe, and that can be (and has been) translated at times into military power (q.v. World War One, and World War Two); (2) German war aims in both World Wars was the creation of a European federation under German dominance (that one seems to have worked out), and, coincidentally, the USA had a similar war aim in World War Two, and became a backer for the creation of the Common Market that led to today’s European Union; (3) Germans are not Nazis and not interested in conquering the world; (4) the current American political class, beginning ca. 1988 and continuing to now, is equally as irrational, kooky, and insane as the German political class, which remains irrational, kooky, and insane(q.v., Angela Merkel).

With that out of the way, we can return to my suspicion of some sort of quiet war being waged between the USA and Germany. It began as a suspicion in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City Bombing, with the appearance of Andreas Strassmeir in the circle of acquaintances of convicted alleged bomber Timothy McVeigh. (I saw “convicted alleged” because if you believe in the ANFO bomb theory, then you probably also believe in the magic bullet and unicorns). Strassmeir had been “security chief” to an American white supremacist militia group, who was under FBI suspicion for a role in the bombing, who disappeared, and later turned up in Berlin, where he gave a brief statement to the press at the home of his father, Gunther Strassmeir, who just happened to be then-Chancellor Kohl’s minister-without-portfolio for German reunification. Strassmeir, in other words, was “connected.” Oh, by the way, he was also a graduate of the Hannover military academy and a captain in the German army.  Some believe he was in this country in some role as a member of German intelligence, perhaps on loan to the FBI. In support of that allegation, it is believed that Strassmeir was assisted in leaving the USA – during the height of a nation-wide manhunt for him – by the elite German commando and counter-terrorism team, the GSG-9.

Then of course, there are the well known – and very strange – shorts and puts on the US stock markets in the days immediately prior to 9/11, many of them made through – you guessed it – Deutsche Bank-affiliated corporation Alex Brown. Deutsche Bank itself suffered strange cyber infiltration just seconds before the Twin Towers were struck. And, as I’ve pointed out in my book Hidden Finance, Rogue Networks, and Secret Sorcery, there is a strange and little known connection of Mohammad Atta, alleged “chief hijacker” of 9/11, to various German connections, his stay in Hamburg, and even a connection between the Bin Ladens, and Deutsche Bank, by a notorious and allegedly pro-Nazi Swiss banker.

Since 9/11, there have been strange actions on the part of the US government, not the least of which was President – then candidate – Obama’s speech in Berlin to wild ovations. This was followed, during his administration, by fines and lawsuits against Deutsche Bank, fines and allegations for environmental violations on the part of German automakers, and, most recently, charges against and fines Deutsche Bank for money laundering. Of course, none of this is connected in the reporting of the stories as being connected to Oklahoma City or to 9/11, but I suspect they are. (See this Reuters article shared by Mr. S.D.  Fed fines Deutsche Bank for anti-money laundering failures.)

Now, I don’t know about you, but this seems to me to be a little “selective”, for I have difficulty believing that Deutsche Bank is the only major banking multinational engaged in money laundering. I suspect many big American banking giants are equally complicit, and the same would hold true for major banks in France, the UK, Italy, Japan, and so on. But no, for some reason, Deutsche Bank seems to be at the top of the list.

But now, it seems to have escalated to a war of words between the German Chancellorin, Angela Merkel, and US President Donald Trump. And Merkel is making her, and Germany’s, and Europe’s, position very clear (this article shared by Ms. B.Z.):

Merkel warns US, Britain no longer reliable partners

(For a more “anti-German” and prejudicial analysis, see Germany’s Merkel Says Europe Can’t Rely Upon Great Britain and American Anymore  This article was noticed and shared by Mr.H.B.)

The language here is extraordinarily strong, and, indeed (take note) a first for post-war German chancellors:

Europe “must take its fate into its own hands” faced with a western alliance divided by Brexit and Donald Trump’s presidency, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Sunday.

“The times in which we could completely depend on others are on the way out. I’ve experienced that in the last few days,” Merkel told a crowd at an election rally in Munich, southern Germany.

“We Europeans truly have to take our fate into our own hands,” she added.

Let us back up and recall something I’ve been maintaining for about seven years: the USA has been quietly playing a dangerous geopolitical game in Eastern Europe and the Ukraine, by basing American troops progressively more eastward, in Romania, Poland, and the Baltic states, positioning them between Germany and Russia. Thus, while most analysts have been viewing these moves as “anti-Russian”, I view them as equally “anti-German” in that these movements and deployments were and are meant in my opinion to keep Berlin and Moscow apart, and to make economic coordination between the two European powers – the two most powerful European powers – more difficult if not impossible. It also not only puts pressure on Russia in the Ukraine, it equally denies a more “muscular” German influence in the Ukraine by breaking the direct land link through Eastern Europe.

Merkel’s response to this was to bring her vice chancellor(as Marine Le Pen liked to call him), Francois Hollande with her to try to negotiate an end to the Ukrainian mess directly with Mr. Putin. Equally, after those moves, we also recall then Foreign Minister Steinmeir’s address in Berlin to German businessmen that Germany’s foreign policy was going to have to become much more independent and military, and I suspected then, and continue to suspect now, that the backdrop for his remarks were precisely these American moves in eastern Europe.

The bottom line: Bundeskanzlerin Merkel is not simply “reacting” to Mr. Trump. The geopolitical and economic reality is that Germany was turning east long before the recent G-7 meeting or Mr. Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris accords.

To put this as plainly as possible: the Merkel government was handed a crisis of opportunity, and Frau Merkel is playing it for all it is worth, setting very long term policy goals into place because of it.

Just what all this may mean will have to wait for tomorrow…

While Trump Was In Riyadh Dancing & Selling Arms, This Was Happening…

Normally I do not use or go to this source, but in this case I make an exception, since it highlights the fundamental problem with the US Empire’s foreign policy: it is ossified, and completely backward looking. Indeed, by tying it to a regressive and backward looking country like Suadi Arabia, Mr. Trump may have committed a strategic error that will affect Americans, Saudis, and for that matter, Arabs elsewhere, for generations to come. My thoughts about the implications of his trip, and the ambiguous long term rationale behind it, were expressed, albeit somewhat clumsily, in last Thursday’s News and Views from the Nefarium.

This piece, however, which was shared by Mr. H.B., highlights the problem: while Mr. Trump was dancing with a few backward Saudi tribesmen, Mr. Xi was hosting a large gathering of nations in Beijing to expand the economic cooperation of the BRICSA bloc, and to work out details of building out China’s New Silk Road project:

https://www.technocracy.news/index.php/2017/05/21/world-leaders-gather-beijing-us-sinks-irrelevancy/

Note, the following:

Even countries that are cool on the Chinese initiative, including India and Japan, sent representatives to the summit that carried a bit more clout than the pathetic representation of the United States, Matt Pottinger, a little-known special assistant to Trump and the senior director for East Asia of National Security Council. In fact, the only reason Trump sent anyone to represent the United States at the Beijing gathering was because of a special request made by President Xi during his recent meeting with Trump at the president’s private Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

South Korea, which saw relations with China sour over America’s placement of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system in South Korea, sent a delegation to Beijing after a phone call between South Korea’s new liberal president, Moon Jae-in, and President Xi. Moon responded to the phone call by sending a delegation led by his Democratic Party’s veteran legislator to Beijing.

Even North Korea, which rankled South Korea, Japan, and the United States by firing a ballistic missile into waters near Russia, sent a delegation to the Beijing meeting headed by Kim Yong Jae, the North’s Minister of External Economic Relations. The Trump administration, which sent a virtual unknown to Beijing, complained loudly about North Korea’s representation at the Silk Road summit. But Washington’s complaint was conveyed by someone as unknown as Mr. Pottinger, Anna Richey-Allen, a low-level spokesperson for the U.S. State Department’s East Asia Bureau. The reason why the United States is being spoken for by middle-grade bureaucrats is that the nation that still believes it is the world’s only remaining «superpower» is now governed by an administration rife with top-level vacancies, inter-agency squabbling, and amateur league players.

Yes, that’s right: Japan, India, North and South Korea, all sent high level delegations.

So did eastern Europe:

These EU member state leaders included Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Czech President Milos Zeman, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Moreover, had British Prime Minister Theresa May not been in the middle of a general election campaign, she would have been in Beijing. Nevertheless, she sent British Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond in her place.

As did the following institutions and other countries:

The United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, was there, along with the President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde. Also present in Beijing were the presidents of Turkey, Philippines, Argentina, Chile, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Kenya, Uzbekistan, and Laos, as well as the prime ministers of Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Fiji, Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

Ministerial delegations from Afghanistan, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Finland, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Maldives, Romania, Nepal, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, and the United Arab Emirates were at the Beijing summit. Japan was represented by the senior adviser to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Secretary General of the Liberal Democratic Party, Toshihiro Nikai. France, which was experiencing a change of presidents, sent former Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin.

The Silk Road initiative has projects planned in all the nations whose governments were represented in Beijing, except for the United States and Israel. In addition to the nations represented by their government heads of state and ministers, Silk Road agreements were signed between China and Palestine, Georgia, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Tajikistan, Brunei, Croatia, and East Timor.

But, hey, according to former House Speaker Newt Gangrene…er… Gingrich, the USA can herald the new foreign policy triumph of Mr. Trump selling one hundred billion plus dollars to the (out)house of Saud as a major foreign policy shift and breakthrough.

Have we really lost our collective minds to this degree? Granted the regime of China leaves much much to be desired, as do the regimes of many of the countries represented in Beijing. But they are agreed, it seems – even the Japanese and North and South Koreans, heck, even the Saudis smelled the coffee and sent a delegation – on one thing, and that’s getting something done that will benefit everyone, like building railroads and highways and so on.

While the USSA is selling arms, and the means to manufacture them.

I don’t think for a moment that Mr. Xi is so naive to believe that all of these countries get along with each other, or don’t have competing interests.Nor do I think Mr. Xi is so naive as to believe that a conference this large, with this many in attendance, will really accomplish anything, much less bring everyone together in a group hug and kumbaya moment. We’ve all been to those “required meetings”. They do nothing but waste time, solve or settle little, and accomplish even less. But they do do one thing, and that is they simply get people talking about and thinking about certain things, and then, when enough of a critical mass of thought congeals, about doing and accomplishing them. That, it seems, is part of his – and China’s – cultural and economic strategy: simply generate excitement about accomplishing something and getting it done. Already in the past few months we’ve seen the first freight train from China arrive in London, and return to China. Turn the clock back just ten years, and this would have been unthinkable. Now translate that into highways running from, say, Beijing to Berlin(dwarfing the Kaiser’s old Berlin-to-Baghdad railway), and you get the idea.

Meanwhile, we’re concerned about the peanuts of a mere one hundred billion of arms sales to the Saudis.

And that’s the point: Mr. Xi is offering the world a vision. We may not like Mr. Xi. We may not even like (I certainly don’t) Communism in any form, even the modern “benign” Chinese form (benign if one compares it to Mao, or Stalin). But Mr. Xi is offering a vision nonetheless. (Heck, being a [much out of practice] organist, I find it very interesting that China seems to be on a pipe-organ-building spree and the Chinese appear to be enjoying what, for them, is an [increasingly less] rare instrument. Translation: China is also trying to become a bridge or unifying culture.)

Now compare that to what the USSA is offering (which is what, exactly? Drones? Surveillance? Tanks? Bombs? bad refrigerators? shoddy computer software operating systems? pay for play bottomlessly corrupt politicians? pedophilia?) and you get the idea. We’re fast becoming as irrelevant and unwanted as the Yugo, the latest in Serbo-Croatian technology.

See you on the flip side…

US Missile Defense: Russia, China & The Moon

cosmic war

Source: GizaDeathStar.com
Dr. Joseph P. Farrell Ph.D.
April 7, 2017

When Mr. “B” shared the following article with me, along with his thought-provoking email, I had to read the article. Sure enough, I did so, with his predicted “jaw dropper” reaction:

Russia and China Team up Against US ‘Defensive’ Expansion

While there have been a spate of articles recently about growing Russo-Chinese defense and security ties, matching their growing financial and economic ties, this one left me stunned, for there was a statement within it that caught my eye, and Mr. B’s as well, and I’m sure the reader saw it as well. As one can imagine, this one fueled my “high octane speculation” mode to the nth degree. Here’s the statement, and a bit of surrounding context:

Russia and China are tired of Washington’s “defensive” military installations in their backyards — and they’re already taking action.

According to the Atlantic Council and other responsible thinkers, the United States reserves the right to park its missile shields anywhere it wants, whether it be in Europe, East Asia, or the dark side of the Moon. This is because placing missile shields all over the place is an important cornerstone of Washington’s ingenious plot to encourage Beijing and Moscow to put aside their differences and form a long-term security and military partnership.

Take for example Washington’s decision to deploy Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems to South Korea.

The Americans claim that their missile defense systems will defend the free world against North Korea. But do they think Putin and Xi were born yesterday? (Emphasis added)

There is, to be sure, a very  tongue-in-cheek attitude in the article, for example, this statement from the second paragraph quoted above:

This is because placing missile shields all over the place is an important cornerstone of Washington’s ingenious plot to encourage Beijing and Moscow to put aside their differences and form a long-term security and military partnership.

But as the article points out, American unipolarism, and its result in pushing Russia and China together, has been a disastrous policy (at least, for the USA):

As China expert Jeff J. Brown explained in an interview:

If the US strikes either China or Russia first, it’s probably World War III and humanity ceases to function as we know it. While there is no announced treaty alliance, we have no way of knowing what Russia and China have agreed to secretly. It is also possible that China and Russia have told NATO back channel to the effect, “You mess with one of us, you deal with us both”. I’ve always wondered if that might be the case, given America’s reluctance to push the pedal to the metal in the Ukraine and the South China Sea.

Now, why am I bothering you with all this. Well, consider, the “tongue-in-cheek” tone appears only once in the article, and that in order to make a very important point about the results of US policy to deploy missile defense systems “all over the place,” in other words, the tongue-in-cheek tone refers to a reality, as Russia and China see it.

And that raises the issue Mr. “B” raised in his email with me: there is no distinction made in the article between the US placing missile defense systems in Eastern Europe, Eastern Asia or “the dark side of the Moon.”  As he put it, was this a subtle way of Russia and China saying “we know what you have up there?”

Well, perhaps. But while you’re pondering that possibility, remember that China wants to have a mission to place satellites around the Moon in such a way as to allow them to permanently monitor the “dark” side of it. Why? Because they actually want to send a manned mission to the Moon to land on the dark side, and in order for that to work, and maintain communications with the homeland, a satellite relay network will have to be constructed first. Did Russia Insider just tell us the motivation for that Chinese plan?

See you on the flip side…

The New “Mafia Wars”? Of Missing Greek Ambassadors,…

Source: GizaDeathStar.com
Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
January 2, 2017

Talk about a strange end to 2016, and a bizarre way to begin 2017! What am I talking about? Well, I’m talking about charred Greek ambassadors to Brazil, Russians expelled by President Obama in retaliation for the alleged Russian hacking of American elections, rumors of GRU speznaz running interference to protect Donald Trump (yes, you read that correctly!), and a Vladimir Putin who refused to expel American diplomats in response to the recent American expulsion of Russian diplomats. Here are those stories, shared by many readers here over the past few days:

Body found in charred car in Rio de Janeiro believed to be missing Greek ambassador – report

John McAfee: I can guarantee you it was NOT the Russians

Putin Stunner: “We Will Not Expel Anyone; We Refuse To Sink To ‘Kitchen’ Diplomacy”

Are Russian Spetsnaz GRU Operators Securing Donald Trump From Khazarian Assassins?

Inside the Ultra-Elite Special Forces of the Russian Military (Fantastic Interview)

First, the Greek ambassador to Brazil. According to the RT article, Mr. Kyriakos Amiridis went missing on the Monday prior to this past weekend, that is to say, on Monday, Dec. 26th, in Brazil. The details are rather grizzly:

Brazilian police believe a body found inside a burned-out car in Rio de Janeiro is that of Greek Ambassador Kyriakos Amiridis, according to Globo News. The ambassador went missing on Monday evening.

The car’s license plates match those of Amiridis’ rental vehicle, according to Globo, which showed pictures of the charred car underneath an overpass in the Nova Iguacu neighborhood where Amiridis went missing.

The 59-year-old ambassador was last seen on Monday evening, after leaving the home of his Brazilian wife’s friends in the poor and violent Rio suburb, police said on Thursday.

And this, for now, is being “explained” as a simple crime of violence because the discovery was made near a violent district of Rio de Janeiro:

Rio suffers from a high crime rate, and violent crime is not uncommon. Rio state registered 4,572 homicides through the end of November 2016, representing a 19.7 percent increase from 2015, according to the Public Security Institute.

Possible? Certainly, except in a world where Russian ambassadors are being murdered within a mere three days of US warnings about “retaliations” against Russia for its alleged hacking, I tend to think someone is “cleaning house”, and that “wet works” are the order of the day. Suspiciously, the RT article points out that Mr. Amiridis was also the Greek ambassador to Libya from 2012-2016, which might have given Mr. Amiridis some sort of unique insight or understanding of the tragic incidents around the Benghazi “what-difference-does-it-make?” attacks:

Iguacu assumed his post in Brasilia earlier this year, having previously served as Greece’s consul-general in Rio from 2001 to 2004. He also served as Greece’s ambassador to Libya from 2012 to 2016.

Note the term “Iguacu” here, which may be a misprint in the RT article, since a CBS article reporting on the event states that this is a region in Rio de Janeiro (See: Cops: Greece’s ambassador to Brazil believed killed near Rio; wife a suspect).

Of course in the CBS version, the ambassador’s wife is a suspect because she allegedly was having an affair with a Brazilian police officer, a fact unmentioned in the RT article. However, on the other foot, the CBS article does mention Mr. Amiridis’ appointment to Libya, but unlike the RT article, does not mention when Mr. Amiridis was there.

In short, my suspicion meter is registering in the orange-to-red zone on this one due to that Libya connection and its rather obvious set of implications.

Then we have the strange speculations from the Saker regarding GRU speznaz running interference on potential threats to Mr. Trump. This one grabbed my attention simply because the Saker’s website is, in my estimation, one of the few websites out there that gets what has been going on in Russia vis-a-vis the post-Soviet struggle between the “Atlanticists” in Russia, i.e., the globaloney crowd, and the more “nationalist” pro-Russian culture and sovereignty faction represented by Mr. Putin and his close advisors. This speculation is so strange it’s worth pondering in some detail. According to the speculation in the first speznaz article, we have the following stated in the original interview with the Saker:

Originally the main operational concept of the Special Forces was to execute our missions on the territory of the enemy. Now there are domestic Spetsnaz and all sorts of various Spetsnaz delegations that were not trained for foreign incursions like the original GRU Spetsnaz.

When we were trained all GRU Spetsnaz were educated in one or more several key languages – Farsi, Mandarin, English, Arabic, French. Now they learn a greater variety of languages. For example during the Afghan War our Spetsnaz were fluent in various local dialects and after this experience this practice was expanded.

This leads to the following speculation, based upon an alleged relationship between various private western security firms and the speznaz units:

If these special operators are indeed fluent in English, and can be embedded in any private security companies duly registered in the US, then it wouldn’t be too farfetched indeed if seven security private companies are now reportedly guarding the incoming US president, some if not all of which are compose of 370 elite troops from Russia, among others.

Said Russian Special Forces were flown in through the Monarch Air Group by the privately owned security firm, RSB-Group, in coordination with a Delaware registered company.

The detail of this relationship is then provided:

In March 2012 Russian PMS RSB-Group has signed an exclusive dealer agreement with a large corporation ULTRA ELECTRONICS USSI for an exclusive supplying and realization of special acoustic hailing devices of non-lethal action HyperSpike; according to the agreement we can for a dealer network all over former USSR countries and in Sri Lanka. Company ULTRA ELECTRONICS USSI stands as a largest producer of special equipment supplying the goods to the Ministry of Defense of USA, USA coastal guard’s offices, SWAT special task forces, customs and boarder control offices of USA and Royal fleet of Great Britain, and also to the French army.

So the bottom line is, could Russian special forces possibly be running interference and providing security to the President-elect? Answer, yes. We he know about it? Answer, possibly yes, and possibly no. The “no” answer is more likely, since it would give him that all-important “plausible deniability”. Would the Russians do such a thing? In my high octane speculative opinion, the answer is not only yes, but it is far more likely they would do that, than attempt to hack American elections (which in any case, as the McAfee article points out, they wouldn’t have done in such a clumsy fashion). The reason they would be more likely to do so? Trump, for Russia, represents at worst a question mark, and at best a potential change in policy to Russia from the anti-Russia hysteria and baiting we’ve seen for the past eight years. His nomination of Tillerson to the State Department is a strong suggestion that Mr. Trump wants to move away from these confrontational policies to a more positive and practical working relationship. After all, Mr. Tillerson is rumored to be, if not a close friend of Mr. Putin, then at least friendly toward him.

Then we have the expulsion of Russian diplomats by Mr. Obama, and Mr. Putin’s refusal to do the same. For the record, I have no doubt Russian “diplomats” have been spying. This is par for the course and not unusual. All embassies of everyone everywhere conduct espionage activities. Therefore, in all likelihood the FBI had these people under surveillance for a long time. Mr. Obama simply chose the moment most condign to suit a political agenda, which is to be expected also. What is unusual about all this is Mr. Putin’s response: he’s not expelling anybody, and that’s a signal that that he knows, or at least expects, a rather dramatic change of course in the near future (say, around Jan. 20th this year).

So what does all this add up to? What’s my high octane speculation of the day (and perhaps, for the next few years) here? As I pointed out in my last News and Views from the Nefarium of Dec. 29, 2016, I suspect what we’re seeing are little signs, perhaps, of a full scale international “mafia war” being waged by the globaloney-neo-con factions within each country, and the more “nationalist multi-polar” factions within each. This is a new kind of covert war, in which formerly “safe” targets – such as ambassadors, and ultimately military and intelligence figures – are now fair game. There’s two patterns here, I suspect. One is the pattern of “house-cleaning”, of tying up nasty loose ends from the reign of the globaloney crowd – in this case perhaps represented by…

Trump Foreign Policy Advisor Carter Page In Russia For Talks With…

Source: GizaDeathStar.com
Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
December 10, 2016

It would appear that the incoming Administration of Donald Trump is already making “unofficial” overtures to Russia, according to this important article appearing on RT, and shared by Mr. P.K.:

Trump’s ex-adviser Carter Page in Moscow for talks with businessmen, ‘thought leaders’

There a few things to notice here, not the least of which is that this trip was indeed undertaken by Carter Page, one of President-elect Trump’s foreign policy advisors during the previous election campaign. While the article is short, and with this in mind, what Mr. Page apparently stated during his visit to Russia and talks with Russian businessmen possibly heralds a dramatic sea-change in the making in Russo-American relations, for Mr. Page drops some real bombshells according to the RT article, citing remarks he made to the Russian English language news outlet Sputnik:

Speaking to Sputnik in October, Page said that “many of America’s core national interests overlap significantly with the strategic priorities of Russia. But unfortunately, an arrogant foreign policy in Washington has quite often failed to consider America’s own fundamental priorities.”

“Russia without question could have significantly contributed to better outcomes if a genuine relationship based on mutual respect had been effectively forged,” Page said, noting that Russia and the US could join forces in fighting Islamic extremism, de-escalating the situation in Ukraine, and working inside potential conflict zones in Asia. (Emphasis in the original).

Clearly, Mr. Page has zeroed in on the radical unipolar agenda driving American foreign policy since 9/11, and by mentioning the Ukraine in this context, he is taking direct aim at a feature of American foreign policy that is quite disturbing, for it will be recalled that the overturning of the government in Kiev and the installation of the current government was driving by neocon forces not only within the US Department of State, but also by the active participation of so-called “non-Governmental organizations” or NGOs, private foundations and corporations behind which this agenda often hides.

So what is the high octane speculation here? If one looks carefully at some of Mr. Trump’s putative appointments, it is clear that he has selected a few “national security hardliners”, for want of a better expression. So one should not expect from the incoming Trump administration a complete 180 degree reversal of prior decisions respecting Russia. But by emphasizing contacts with Russian businessmen, mentioning the Ukraine, and mentioning Islamic terrorism, seems to suggest that we might expect the incoming Trump administration to review and reverse at least some of the economic sanctions against Russia, perhaps even doing so unilaterally prior to any negotiation with the Russian government on other issues, and seeking to increase bilateral trade between the two countries. This might pave the way for more extended talks on a staged reversal of remaining sanctions, discussions of security matters where American and Russian interests overlap and how to coordinate efforts.

The geopolitical fallout here could be far-reaching if indeed any of Page’s “signals” do issue in actual policy, for a lessening of the sanctions regime, and coordination on security matters, the Ukraine, and so on, will place major European governments – particularly that of Chancellorin Merkel – that have more or less been lap poodles and sock puppets for Washington in the previous years, especially with respect to the Ukraine, Islamic terrorism (and the ongoing European refugee problem), and economic sanctions against Russia, in a very difficult position. In effect, such policy reversals will weaken their hand tremendously, and fuel the oppositions to Frau Merkel and…

We also touch on his older book Full Spectrum Dominance in part, and how the entire Cold War and the earlier Great Game set the stage for the events unfolding today.

Japan Enters The Africa Chessboard…

JAPAN ENTERS THE AFRICA CHESSBOARD…

Mr. S.D., a regular reader here, found this very interesting article, and it definitely raises the stakes of the game now being played out in Africa, for it makes clear that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe means for Japan to play a much more geopolitically vigorous role on the world stage:

Japan pledges billions in investments for foothold in Africa

There’s two paragraphs here that caught my eye, the very first one in fact, and then one further down in the article:

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has said his country is to invest $30 billion in Africa, with a focus on boosting infrastructure on the resource-rich continent. Tokyo competes with Beijing for influence in the region.

While Abe’s government has been relatively successful in reaching out to African nations, its influence is dwarfed by Japan’s rival China. In 2015, China’s total trade with Africa reached about $179 billion, compared to Japan’s $24 billion.

The nature of Japanese investment is also worth looking at:

The new investments, announced on Saturday, would be divided out over a three-year time period, with some of the money going to improve labor productivity and health care.

What is interesting here is that Japan’s investments in Africa, like China’s, appear to be of a very different nature than America’s, which have been largely to form a new command structure in the region and to beef up military presence. China’s pattern, in response to this, has been to invest in infrastructure: roads, hospitals, building schools, and so on. Of course, none of this is altruistic, for China’s real goal is to build markets for products and trade, and resource-rich Africa is, to be blunt, the last great developing market in the world, with an enormous pool of virtually untapped human creativity and invention. Notably, Mr. Abe’s Japan is pursuing, at a smaller scale, the Chinese pattern, and in the long run, this portends yet another reversal over the long term for American policy: the orient sends hospitals, the USSA sends tanks, rockets, drones, bombs… you get the picture.

There have been some shake-ups in the Kremlin lately, and Mr. Putin appears to be willing to “gamble” in order to get Russia’s stagnant economy rolling again:

Did Canada Sell Its Gold to Prepare for the North American Union?

Loonie closes at highest level in more than a month; stock markets pull back  … The Canadian dollar continued to ride higher with oil prices Tuesday, as both the currency and a barrel of crude climbed in value for a fourth straight day.  The loonie added 0.38 of a cent to 77.80 cents U.S., closing at its highest level in more than a month amid a weakening U.S. dollar.

It’s never been clear why Canada sold ALL its gold, HERE, but perhaps it has to do with the potential, upcoming North American Union.

Just the other day, we wrote that Hillary’s plans are obviously to support the creation of the NAU. You can see the article HERE, entitled, “Hillary Plans Steps Toward North American Union If Elected.”

We’ve been writing about the resurgence of the NAU for years – and then more recently for months as regards this campaign. Gradually,  the alternative media is becoming more aware of how high the stakes really are. Some of our articles are HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

It is not too strong to say that the future of the United States as a sovereign entity may be decided by this election. The NAU is threnody – the deep dirge – harmonizing many of the arguments over “immigration.” One big explosion came when George Bush suggested turning immigrants, legal or not, into eventual citizens, HERE.

Bush, who further wrecked America in many ways, disingenuously claimed that his stance was motivated by his “compassionate conservatism.” But it was not. Bush secretly advanced the legislative agenda of the NAU through a series of hush-hush meetings with his counterparts in Mexico and Canada.

Obama has not perhaps been so overt as Bush, though recently, he did  see his counterparts in Canada in a meeting that was obviously intended to raise the concept of an NAU once more.

Meanwhile, the lack of gold-backing for the loonie, seems to create the circumstances that benefit the idea of an NAU as well. Its emphatic removal of gold (and recent sales of gold merely expanded a long-term trend) has surely increased its volatility and overall weakness, HERE.

Canada once had 1,000 tons of gold, but selling started in the 20th century and continued throughout the 2000s. It finished with a flourish in early 2016, when Canada had nothing left.

However, there is no reason why Canada couldn’t back the loonie with substantial gold if it wished to. Canada is a huge country with significant gold and silver resources. But instead, the loonie’s fate increasingly seems tied to oil, which doesn’t make much sense on a variety of levels.

The loonie lately has been around or below 78 cents US and only received reinforcement from a September crude contract that pushed a barrel of oil to US$46.58. The hope now is that Russia will help Saudi Arabia stabilize oil. However this doesn’t acknowledge that the US itself is trying to destabilize Saudi Arabia in order to debase the dollar further, HERE.

The Chinese yuan is scheduled to join the IMF’s SDR basket in October. Additionally, the World Bank is starting to issue yuan (RMB) bonds. The results, eventually, will hit the dollar hard.

The dollar has likely been targeted in order to strengthen potential global governance – just as the BRICs have risen up to challenge the West.

The world needs to be “evened out” to make globalism work, you see. And currencies need to be destabilized in order to create the justification to combine them. No doubt, the NAU’s backers are considering a single currency, much like the disastrous euro.

If Canadian, Mexican and US currencies are seen as weakened and even chaotic, especially due to a lack of even a residue of gold, creating some sort of mutual currency doubtless becomes easier to implement – even if it is simply a more comprehensive dollar.

Of course, the dollar is merely the “strongest” currently of a variety of weak currencies. Mexico’s peso, too, is not strong.

Not so long ago, Mexican officials actually admitted, HERE, that some 96 percent of Mexican gold resided mostly in London’s City (no surprise there) – where it no doubt has been lent out a thousand times.

Will Mexico ever see that gold again? For now, the peso, like the loonie, seems to lack gold backing.

Of course, as the Fed and the US government do not want any full-scale audit of Fort Knox, it is not clear what kind of gold-backing the dollar possesses. Probably less than more.

All-in-all, these gold-deprived currencies probably support the creation of what we call “directed history.” This elite approach manipulates events until they resolve themselves into a requisite, logical pattern.

For instance, Canada, Mexico and the US all have varying degrees of public – “universal” – health care. Though people will disagree, it seems obvious that Obamacare mess is intended to justify an even more fully public system.

Meanwhile, Mexico converted to universal health care beginning in 2004 and ending in 2012, HERE, with astonishingly little fanfare.  Very strange.

On a variety of fronts, the sociopolitical and economic policies of the US, Canada and Mexico are being harmonized.

If Hillary gets into office, this extensive harmonization will allow swift action to realize a potential union. Probably numerous quasi-secret treaties and executive orders will help facilitate it.

One of Hillary’s main goals is to open up a new government agency that will support the citizenship of illegal aliens.

But that is probably only the first step.

News With Views posted a far more a comprehensive report on where her regime might head.

The article HERE is entitled “Get Ready for FEMA Regions For the North American Union” and contends that the ultimate plan is to “do with away with the 50 states and create FEMA regions.”

The report quotes Parag Khanna, a contributor for the NYTimes, who believes the US would “thrive more if the government did away with the states and created regions.” You can see his article HERE.

Conclusion: While many people are terribly concerned about a Hillary presidency, the true ramifications may be even deeper and longer lasting than regularly discussed. The fate of America itself may hang in the balance.
