“There are only two ways to live your life.  One is though nothing is a miracle.  The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
– Albert Einstein

“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

As a preamble, the term synchronicity was coined by Dr. Carl Gustav Jung nigh a century ago.  For our purpose, synchronicity is based upon the inherent connection that connects us all, which stems from Jung’s idea of a collective consciousness.  Essentially, synchronicity is multiple events taking place at the same time, which are directly related at the core, although conventional thinking would state otherwise.

Knowing that, have you ever ran into a particular circumstance in which you were searching for somewhere, something, or someone, and have that exact thing you are looking for just synchronistically fall in your lap?

This has been the type of event that has been taking place in my life for the better part of ten years, and its results have always infused me with increase of positivity, drive, poise and resolve.  Having what you sought be shown to you is almost like the Universe throwing you a bone per se.

For instance, the reason for writing about this is because this very type of event just happened minutes ago.  After searching adamantly for a bit of time it “just so happened” that the very information that was being searched for by myself was not only available, but there for the taking.  I am not talking about searching for things which are easy to find, either.  I am strictly speaking about particular things which require extended research for the most part.

Admittedly, it’s my contention that the reason this happens is because my eyes are open to these possibilities.  Having learned through experience, I have learned to pay extra attention for the signature circumstances that might be beneficial for me to take advantage of it.  In hindsight, there were many instances that my eyes were not open, although opportunity was knocking on the door nonstop.

Part of the reason for missing these opportunities was because my awareness was nigh non-existent, and the lifestyle lead by me just wasn’t as positive and conducive towards positive things.  My life didn’t follow a negative path, per se, but it was just a cookie-cutter lifestyle that’s laden with poor choices to boot which plagued everything from my health, finances, mind, spirit, and soul.

Now however, after having learned from my mistakes, and those of others, it’s become easier to be able to pick up on these small signposts that are available for the taking.  Am thankful because, had some of these very lucky draws life threw me earlier weren’t noticed by me, my life would be drastically different, and definitely not for better.

In contrast, there’s at least two ways that these synchronicities, at least in my life, can be taken.  These synchronicities may be seen as either completely meaningless, as pure dominoes of destiny smashing into each other with no sense or purpose.  Or, perhaps there’s more.

Perhaps, all of these instances are something emblematic of something else taking place.

Whether it is  having someone ‘random’ get your attention and you hitting the breaks before getting t-boned by a car that ran a red light; whether it’s a small note falling ‘randomly’ out of someone’s backpack which points to the direction you sought to find; whether it’s that person calling you reminding you of that one thing you never told them about that you need to get done, but which they ‘happen’ to know of nonetheless; whether it’s that post on social media that you’ve been looking for, for years due to its ramifications and someone that you don’t even know posted it because they ‘felt like it’, and that drives you to create something unique and phenomenal; whether it’s that one piece of wisdom that’s so profound that changes your life, and happened to be written by someone else within a book that you didn’t even want in the first place – all of these contain signature synchronicities.

Synchronicities, to those aware, are like shooting stars for the taking, plucked out of the canvas of creation that is life, to be repurposed of your life.

So, Life can be seen as either boring, meaningless, and purposeless, which is one way to look at it.

Or, Life is an adventure of growth, meaning, and elation, which has an underlying function for a greater purpose.

Don’t know about you, but my life’s been a lot of things, but certainly never purposeless, meaningless, and definitely not boring!

What say you?

This book  – The I Ching – is a veritable crash course into what can take place when people pay attention to the small intricacies in life.

As in life, this book offers much to learn from, if one just so chooses.  It’s not for no reason that this book has been held in high esteem by sages and mystics going back thousands of years.

Of those sages, perhaps the most notable is Confucius who ironed out his teachings and insights from this particular book.

In any case, as the book hints at in its introduction, this book can be seen just as another book or it can be viewed as something more.

Just as with any other stepping stone that offers opportunity for growth, this particular book is no different.  In fact, its insights and advice are not only reasonable, but they resonate quite well for many reasons.

The beauty of this book lies in its simplicity.  Throughout its length the book takes an approach of meaning towards everything.  From every event, every instance, in every day, there is something to be gained from it.   However, will undoubtedly depend on how the individual so chooses to act.

With clarity and depth, the book will help the individual traverse through life by showcasing wisdom in more than ample situations.

Another benefit of this book is how it’s far easier to read than other I Ching books, at least for me.  That is always pleasant for someone that’s always attempting to keep things simple.

How this book helps you will be determined ultimately by you, the reader – the individual.  For me, personally, if am having trouble with certain circumstances, its helped me reassess my thought process and take a step back and be able to not only take my time, but relax, and thus allow my-self the precision of thought needed to take the next step in life.

That, and that alone, is priceless.  The beauty of it is that, the book offers many more gems than that.  It’s certainly a must buy for everyone in my opinion, because knowing human nature, we can all benefit from it.
