Meanwhile, In Spain, They’re Arresting Banksters

Typically, according to “Great Power” theory, Spain lost its status as a Great Power in the Napoleonic era, and hence, it gets ignored… too much, in my opinion. The reason? Spain may have fallen on hard times from the end of the Napoleonic era up through the Spanish Civil War and the victory of Franco, but under Franco it regained much of its lost economic clout and, despite grievous setbacks in recent years, in 2016 was the 10th largest world economy by Gross Domestic Product, and the fifth largest in the European Union, behind Germany, the U.K., France, and Italy, and just slightly ahead of the Netherlands. But Spain, in a manner rather similar to Great Britain, does have an enormous soft-power card, due to the enormous influence it has had historically on the development of western culture. From the Philippines to Central and South America, Spanish culture became the dominant influence. During World War Two Franco carefully maneuvered, in spite of enormous pressure to join the Axis, to keep Spain neutral, playing the soft power card quite effectively in this effort, reminding the Axis powers that any invasion of Spain would be met with stiff resistance, and sever any useful ties the Axis had, via Spain, with the rest of the Latin world and most importantly, with their considerable investments in South America. In return, Franco bought Spain’s neutrality by sending a “volunteer” infantry division, the “Blue” division, to fight with the Axis in the Soviet Union, where it distinguished itself in combat operations in and around Leningrad.

So when a major economy of the West decides to start arresting banksters, I sit up and take notice (thanks to Mr. B.H. for sharing this article):

Spain Follows Iceland As Mass Arrests Of Top Bankers Begin

Note how this article by Jacky Murphy begins:

Spain’s Supreme court last year ruled that there was “serious inaccuracies” about listing led investors to back Bankia in error, as a result the bank has paid out millions of Euros in compensation.
If one translates this, what the Spanish Supreme Court is really saying is that Bankia, a consortium built from other failed banks(!), failed to apprise investors of serious exposure and risk; in short, it committed major material omissions of fact. This in and of itself is highly significant, but its import takes on a more sinister aspect when one connects it to the last paragraph in the article:
“The court is questioning why they allowed Bankia to sell shares in an initial public offering in 2011, less than a year before Bankia’s portfolio of bad mortgage loans forced the government to seize control of it. It said there was evidence the regulators had ‘full and thorough knowledge’ of Bankia’s plight. After its nationalisation, it went on to report a €19.2bn ($24.7bn) loss for 2012, the largest in Spanish corporate history.” (Emphasis added)
Now, many people may recall that Spain did indeed embark on an orgy of real estate projects during the pre-2008 boom, and, like other countries, when the housing bubble collapsed, the problems began. Additionally, while not often mentioned in connection to the refugee crisis, the Spanish government, like others, fell victim to the the multicultural virus and began importing refugees to such an extent that it dramatically effected the ability of native Spaniard youth to gain jobs; consequently unemployment rose dramatically, and with it, calls for secession from Madrid in various regions, most notably Catalonia. One reader of this website, located in Spain, referred years ago to the whole process of being one of remaking Spain into “Spanistan.” And though we don’t hear of Spain in this connection as often as we do of the Netherlands, France, Germany or Italy, or for that matter Great Britain or the USA, there has been a growing backlash against these policies among Spaniards.
What caught my eye here, however, was the admission that Bankia’s and indeed Spain’s economic woes were due to the same cause as elsewhere: “bad mortgage loans.” That, as one might imagine, caught my eye because I strongly suspect there is much more going on…

Spain Sets Massive Precedent — Charges Its Central Bankers in Court

Source: ActivistPost.com
Claire Bernish
February 21, 2017

First, Iceland, and now Spain has taken on the Big Bankers responsible for financial calamity, as the country’s highest national court charged the former head of Spain’s central bank, a market regulator, and five other banking officials over a failed bank leading to the loss of millions of euros for smaller investors.

This, of course, markedly departs from the mammoth taxpayer giveaway — commonly referred to as the bailout — approved by the U.S. government ostensibly to “save” the Big Banks and, albeit unstated, allow the enormous institutions to continue bilking customers without the slightest fear of penalty.

Errant bankers and financiers, it would seem, typically manage to either evade actually being charged, or escape hefty fines and time behind bars.

Spain’s Supreme Court last year ruled “serious inaccuracies” in information about the listing led investors to back Bankia in error, thus the bank has since paid out millions of euros in compensation.

But Spanish authorities could not abide the telling findings of a years-long investigation into the failed listing, as Wolf Street explains,

As part of the epic, multi-year criminal investigation into the doomed IPO of Spain’s frankenbank Bankia – which had been assembled from the festering corpses of seven already defunct saving banks – Spain’s national court called to testify six current and former directors of the Bank of Spain, including its former governor, Miguel Ángel Fernández Ordóñez, and its former deputy governor (and current head of the Bank of International Settlements’ Financial Stability Institute), Fernando Restoy. It also summoned for questioning Julio Segura, the former president of Spain’s financial markets regulator, the CNMV [National Securities Market Commission] (the Spanish equivalent of the SEC in the US).

The six central bankers and one financial regulator stand accused of authorizing the public launch of Bankia in 2011 despite repeated warnings from the Bank of Spain’s own team of inspectors that the banking group was ‘unviable.’

As AFP reports, “The National Court validated conclusions made by prosecutors who concluded that when ‘an unviable entity has been listed on the stock market, its administrators or auditor should not shoulder all the responsibility.’”

Specifics of the charges have not yet been made apparent, but as The Economist reports:

The court is questioning why they allowed Bankia to sell shares in an initial public offering in 2011, less than a year before Bankia’s portfolio of bad mortgage loans forced the government to seize control of it. It said there was evidence the regulators had ‘full and thorough knowledge’ of Bankia’s plight. After its nationalisation, it went on to report a €19.2bn ($24.7bn) loss for 2012, the largest in Spanish corporate history.

Internal emails and documents played a crucial role in ultimately bringing the central banking officials to task for the failure of Bankia — inspectors bringing issues to the attention of superiors were allegedly ignored. One email cited by The Economist came from an inspector who warned Bankia was “a money-losing machine,” for which an IPO would not solve.

Another report, deemed “devastating by the court,” saw an inspector advise Bankia to seek a private buyer rather than proceed with the listing.

Scientists In Spain Create “Magnetic Wormhole”

Source: GizaDeathStar.com
Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
November 18, 2016

This interesting story was passed along (I forget who did so, so my apologies!) and I have to round out this week of otherwise serious blogs with something fun, and potentially very significant in its own right. Scientists in Spain at the Autonomous University of Barcelona have created a kind of “magnetic wormhole” by using metamaterials (watch the short four minute video for a fuller explanation than the article:

Scientists Created A Wormhole In A Lab

As this article and video make clear, this is a magnetic wormhole, not the gravitationally based Einstein-Rosen bridge, a kind of wormhole that would require gimongous amounts of energy to open and sustain, and which would be – as I’ve mentioned in various interviews before – a “billion times tinier than tiny,” a phrase that, since physicists are enamored of quantization, captures the essence of the idea.

Now what’s interesting to me here, and what fueled all sorts of entertaining high octane speculation on my part when I read the story and watched the video, was really that this “magnetic wormhole” was actually created by creating a kind of magnetic monopole, something that has been theorized about for a long time, but never successfully done, until, apparently, now. Normally, magnetic fields and magnetics are dipole phenomena, which is a fancy way of saying what we all know from elementary school, namely, magnets have two poles, a North and South, but not simply a North one all by itself, or a South one all by itself, which would be a “monopole.” Electricity is likewise a dipole phenomena. Think, for example, of lightening, when electrical arcing occurs between regions of predominantly negative and positive charges building up, until the arc “restores the balance,” so to speak. since such regions can develop at all, and because electricity is so closely related to magnetism, for such reasons people have theorized that magnetic monopoles, regions of predominantly one or another polarity, might develop without the other. But like electricity, an opposite corresponding region has to exist somewhere in order for that “balance” to be preserved.

In effect, what the scientists in Spain appear to have done – in so far as the video suggests – was to send one pole of the dipole “somewhere else”, into a kind of hyper-dimensional region, where it was still invisibly coupled via that invisible “wormhole” to the pole that remained “here.” As the article and video state, there’s not currently any practical use for such a thing, the experiment being more of a “proof of concept” experiment, in this case, of the magnetic monopole and how they might exist.

And it was this point that of course made me think of all sorts of wild and crazy possibilities, for if one pole can exist “here” in this 4-dimensional space-time reality, and the other pole “there” in a kind of hyper-dimensional spatial reality, then at one stroke,  it would appear that the physical reality of hyperdimensional spaces and their connection to this 4d reality, is if not proven then at least strongly indicated. And that in turn opens up all sorts of intriguing possibilities for those of you who, like me, like to contemplate the mysteries of quantum entanglement and non-locality, for it would appear…

…OH, AND ABOUT THOSE CRACKS IN THE NATO ALLIANCE, LOOK AT WHAT ...

If you’ve been a regular reader here, you’ll know that one of the things we’ve been tracking on this website is how American “exceptionalism” and unipolarism have actually been creating a backlash among the USA’s more important allies, and producing some obvious fissures, cracks, and stains in the post-war system of alliances, like NATO. These cracks and fissures have grown to the point, as we’ve seen in previous weeks and months, that individual European nations are so upset over the heavy-handedness of the EU, growing dissatisfaction with the TTIP “agreement”, US adventurism, and particularly the ongoing mess in the Ukraine, largely a creation of Washington, of various US NGOs, and corrupt Ukrainians, and an ongoing refugee crisis which some stories on the internet maintain is actually a creation of Washington’s not Frau Merkel’s making, that they are quietly but very definitely circumventing the whole Russian sanctions regime.

Witness, for example, the recent visits of German Laender politicians to Russia, the pending visit of Jean-Claude Juncker, the recent Italian refusal to allow the US to expand a naval base in Italy. Now, you can add Spain to the list of countries increasingly unhappy with the NATO-Washington-London diktats, a problem amplified by the continued British presence on Gibraltar:

Spain ‘betrays NATO allies’ hosting Russian warships – oh, really?

One wonders, exactly, what Spain has to gain from continued subservience to London and Washington, or by assuming and adopting its current “Russia is the big bad boy” narrative. As the article points out, Spain, still a sovereign nation regardless of what the dogmas of the western globalists says, is perfectly within its rights, and more important, is pointing out how deep and serious the cracks and fissures between the US and Europe have become:

Governments Admit that Much of Modern History Has Been Manipulated By False Flag Attacks

Painting by Anthony Freda

March 30, 2016

Presidents, Prime Ministers, Congressmen, Generals, Spooks, Soldiers and Police ADMIT to False Flag Terror

In the following instances, officials in the government which carried out the attack (or seriously proposed an attack) admit to it, either orally, in writing, or through photographs or videos:

(1) As admitted by secret Russian police files that are part of the Hoover Institution’s archives, the Russian Tsar’s secret police set off bombs and killed people in order to blame and arrest labor agitators. And see this.

(2) Japanese troops set off a small explosion on a train track in 1931, and falsely blamed it on China in order to justify an invasion of Manchuria. This is known as the “Mukden Incident” or the “Manchurian Incident”. The Tokyo International Military Tribunal found: “Several of the participators in the plan, including Hashimoto [a high-ranking Japanese army officer], have on various occasions admitted their part in the plot and have stated that the object of the ‘Incident’ was to afford an excuse for the occupation of Manchuria by the Kwantung Army ….” And see this.

(3) A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that – under orders from the chief of the Gestapo – he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland.

(4) Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building in 1933, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson.

(5) Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev admitted in writing that the Soviet Union’s Red Army shelled the Russian village of Mainila in 1939 – while blaming the attack on Finland – as a basis for launching the “Winter War” against Finland. Russian president Boris Yeltsin agreed that Russia had been the aggressor in the Winter War.

(6) The Russian Parliament, current Russian president Putin and former Soviet leader Gorbachev all admit that Soviet leader Joseph Stalin ordered his secret police to execute 22,000 Polish army officers and civilians in 1940, and then falsely blamed it on the Nazis.

(7) The British government admits that – between 1946 and 1948 – it bombed 5 ships carrying Jews attempting to flee the Holocaust to seek safety in Palestine, set up a fake group called “Defenders of Arab Palestine”, and then had the psuedo-group falsely claim responsibility for the bombings (and see this, this and this).

(8) Israel admits that in 1954, an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind “evidence” implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers, and several of the Israelis later confessed) (and see this and this).

The U.S. Army does not believe this is an isolated incident.  For example, the U.S. Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies said of Mossad (Israel’s intelligence service):

“Ruthless and cunning. Has capability to target U.S. forces and make it look like a Palestinian/Arab act.”

(9) The CIA admits that it hired Iranians in the 1950′s to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister.

(10) The Turkish Prime Minister admitted that the Turkish government carried out the 1955 bombing on a Turkish consulate in Greece – also damaging the nearby birthplace of the founder of modern Turkey – and blamed it on Greece, for the purpose of inciting and justifying anti-Greek violence.

(11) The British Prime Minister admitted to his defense secretary that he and American president Dwight Eisenhower approved a plan in 1957 to carry out attacks in Syria and blame it on the Syrian government as a way to effect regime change.

(12) The former Italian Prime Minister, an Italian judge, and the former head of Italian counterintelligence admit that NATO, with the help of the Pentagon and CIA, carried out terror bombings in Italy and other European countries in the 1950s through the 1980s and blamed the communists, in order to rally people’s support for their governments in Europe in their fight against communism.

As one participant in this formerly-secret program stated: “You had to attack civilians, people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the Italian public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security”so that “a state of emergency could be declared, so people would willingly trade part of their freedom for the security” (and see this) (Italy and other European countries subject to the terror campaign had joined NATO before the bombings occurred). And watch this BBC special. They also allegedly carried out terror attacks in France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the UK, and other countries.

The CIA also stressed to the head of the Italian program that Italy needed to use the program to control internal uprisings.

False flag attacks carried out pursuant to this program include – by way of example only:

(13) In 1960, American Senator George Smathers suggested that the U.S. launch “a false attack made on Guantanamo Bay which would give us the excuse of actually fomenting a fight which would then give us the excuse to go in and [overthrow Castro]”.

(14) Official State Department documents show that, in 1961, the head of the Joint Chiefs and other high-level officials discussed blowing up a consulate in the Dominican Republic in order to justify an invasion of that country. The plans were not carried out, but they were all discussed as serious proposals.

(15) As admitted by the U.S. government, recently declassified documents show that in 1962, the American Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a plan to blow up AMERICAN airplanes (using an elaborate plan involving the switching of airplanes), and also to commit terrorist acts on American soil, and then to blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. See the following ABC news report; the official documents; and watch this interview with the former Washington Investigative Producer for ABC’s World News Tonight with Peter Jennings.

(16) In 1963, the U.S. Department of Defense wrote a paper promoting attacks on nations within the Organization of American States – such as Trinidad-Tobago or Jamaica – and then falsely blaming them on Cuba.

(17) The U.S. Department of Defense also suggested covertly paying a person in the Castro government to attack the United States: “The only area remaining for consideration then would be to bribe one of Castro’s subordinate commanders to initiate an attack on Guantanamo.”

(18) A U.S. Congressional committee admitted that – as part of its “Cointelpro” campaign – the FBI had used many provocateurs in the 1950s through 1970s to carry out violent acts and falsely blame them on political activists.

(19) A top Turkish general admitted that Turkish forces burned down a mosque on Cyprus in the 1970s and blamed it on their enemy. He explained: “In Special War, certain acts of sabotage are staged and blamed on the enemy to increase public resistance. We did this on Cyprus; we even burnt down a mosque.” In response to the surprised correspondent’s incredulous look the general said, “I am giving an example”.

(20) A declassified 1973 CIA document reveals a program to train foreign police and troops on how to make booby traps, pretending that they were training them on how to investigate terrorist acts:

The Agency maintains liaison in varying degrees with foreign police/security organizations through its field stations ….

[CIA provides training sessions as follows:]

a. Providing trainees with basic knowledge in the uses of commercial and military demolitions and incendiaries as they may be applied in terrorism and industrial sabotage operations.

b. Introducing the trainees to commercially available materials and home laboratory techniques, likely to he used in the manufacture of explosives and incendiaries by terrorists or saboteurs.

c. Familiarizing the trainees with the concept of target analysis and operational planning that a saboteur or terrorist must employ.

d. Introducing the trainees to booby trapping devices and techniques giving practical experience with both manufactured and improvised devices through actual fabrication.

***

The program provides the trainees with ample opportunity to develop basic familiarity and use proficiently through handling, preparing and applying the various explosive charges, incendiary agents, terrorist devices and sabotage techniques.

(21) The German government admitted (and see this) that, in 1978, the German secret service detonated a bomb in the outer wall of a prison and planted “escape tools” on a prisoner – a member of the Red Army Faction – which the secret service wished to frame the bombing on.

(22) A Mossad agent admits that, in 1984, Mossad planted a radio transmitter in Gaddaffi’s compound in Tripoli, Libya which broadcast fake terrorist transmissions recorded by Mossad, in order to frame Gaddaffi as a terrorist supporter. Ronald Reagan bombed Libya immediately thereafter.

Blair to Eradicate European Culture to Create a United States of Europe

eradication-of-euro-culture

March 24, 2016

Tony Blair has warned against “flabby liberalism” and says there needs to be a tougher centre ground approach to issues such as tackling extremism and responding to the refugee crisis …  He argues that education against extremism and intolerance will come to be seen as an international obligation – in the way that environmental policy, such as tackling pollution, is addressed by international agreement. -BBC

Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has in mind creating an international movement to combat forces in Europe and the Middle East that promote cultural isolationism.

Blair has been under attack for much of his post-political life for involving Britain in Middle East wars and lying about it. But now Blair seems to have found a new political cause to which he can dedicate  his energy and time.

Of course, he will face push-back in his new role as well.

The reality is that the Middle Eastern wars are mostly an artificial invention of Western intelligence. Creating military polarization allows the West to manipulate countries and cultures as they have before.

Now, as is the plan, the wars have destabilized the Middle East and driven refugees into Europe, which is also being destabilized. Blair therefore will not be perceived as an honest broker but as a proponent of a kind of military manipulation aimed at undermining traditional Europe.

Those ethnic entities have created communities in countries such as Germany, Spain, France and Poland that have been maintained for hundreds and thousands of years. But not anymore.

Such cultural destruction advances a homogenized European Union that is far more amenable to becoming a “United States of Europe.” Break down culture and you disassemble countries and regions.

Currently, this is being resisted as a matter of cultural self-preservation. But there are elite forces in Europe that obviously will not rest until age-old European countries are thoroughly penetrated and disassembled.

Spain, USA To Share Space Monitoring Data

Source: GizaDeathStar.com
Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
March 2, 2016

This very intriguing article appeared last month, two days before the “Apollo 10 Moon Music” article which we blogged about yesterday. In other words, this article and the “Moon Music” article appeared within two days of each other, and it is little things like this that cause me to sit up and take notice, and to wonder if one is not perhaps looking at a pattern of deliberate, slow releases of information that, while appearing normal and mundane in their own right, when connected to other stories about the same egenral topic that appear in more or less the same sort of time, might indicate that “something is going on out there, and it has ‘them’ concerned.” Well, in that light, consider this article shared by Mr. T.M.:

US, Spain to Jointly Monitor Outer Space Traffic

There’s a couple of paragraphs here that picqued my high octane speculation faculty, and they are these:

Nine nations have previously signed separate agreements with STRATCOM: the United Kingdom, South Korea, France, Canada, Italy, Japan, Israel, Germany and Australia, the release noted.

In addition, two intergovernmental organizations, the European Space Agency and the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, as well as more than 50 commercial satellite providers, are already participating in data-sharing agreements with STRATCOM.

What’s notable here is that the list of nations involved in the space data sharing basically constitute a who’s who of the major economic powers of the West, so Spain’s addition to this list is not that surprising. Nor is it surprising that all of this is being coordinated by STRATCOM (U.S. Strategic Command), for after all, any strategic attack from the west, whether terrestrial in origin or not, is likely to come through space.

What intrigues me more here is the participation of commercial satellite providers. Again, in one sense, this is not surprising, since any attacks on the west are also likely to be coordinated with a blinding of satellite capability of any sort, military or otherwise.

In Spain, They’re Going After The Banksters

Source:GizaDeathStar.com

February 2, 2016

Not all the stories I’ve been getting have concerned mind manipulation efforts, and certainly 2016 has also started out with some interesting news in the financial sectors as well. Consider what’s happening in Spain.

This story is intriguing from any number of levels, not the least of which because some of the regular readers of this website live in Spain, and from time to time have updated us about the dire straits not only of the Spanish economy, but the cultural assault that country – home to Cervantes, Soler, Velasquez – has been under. This article was shared by Mr. L.B., and it concerns a series of court actions against the corrupt financial oligarchs that have been responsible for so much of the country’s current economic crisis:

To Put Bankers Behind Bars, Spanish Citizens Take the 1% to Court

Consider just the first five paragraphs here, and one tidbit of information that I find highly significant in terms of its implications for the type of financial analysis of the situation that one encounters in the analyses of former Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Catherine Austin Fitts:

The case of Rodrigo Rato is perhaps the most interesting among some 150 high-level corruption cases scheduled to take place this year in Spain – involving over 2,000 elite figures in Spanish society. Rato was the country’s Minister of Economics from 1996 to 2004, and a leading political force in the conservative Popular Party (PP) as well as managing director of the IMF (2004-2007) and chairman of Bankia, Spain’s largest bank (2010-12).

These institutions’ combined actions spurred Spain’s economic crash and intensifying poverty crisis, as Bankia’s massive debts were nationalized by the PP-controlled government and Rato’s bank became the main recipient of the bailout deal with the EU and IMF. From these business-government arrangements, Rato and the rest of Spain’s 1% profited while imposing austerity on the majority.
