Crazzfiles.com has the story (5/31):

“Dr Andrew Katelaris, will appear in the Hornsby Local Court today after being arrested yesterday.”

“Chief Inspector David Hogg confirmed to Echonetdaily that Dr. Katelaris had been charged with a number of offences including drug possession, having an indictable quantity of cannabis, and having proceeds of crime.”

“On Sunday Dr Katelaris featured in a Channel Seven report in which he was shown giving cannabis oil to a four-year-old boy, who has since been taken from his parents.”

“He had spent the weekend at a Hemp Industry forum at Rosehill in Sydney, where police arrived on the final day after reports that a large crop of cannabis was on display.”

“No arrests were made as the ‘cannabis display’, which consisted of low-THC plants for hemp production, had been approved prior to the forum.”

“Dr Katelaris has been a staunch advocate of medical cannabis, having been researching its effects since 1990.”

“He has been arrested numerous times in the past and openly admits to supplying CBD dominant cannabis to over 50 children with serious seizure disorders.”

“Just last year the Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) determined Dr Katelaris, who also holds a doctorate, had been involved in more breaches of a code of conduct for non-registered health professionals after injecting two women with cannabis oil to treat ovarian cancer.”

At crazzfiles.com you can watch a short video featuring Dr. Katelaris and make up your own mind about his sincerity, skill, and competence.

The numerous government attacks against him are inevitably based on the fact that marijuana is a natural substance, and can’t be patented in that form. Having an effective medicine floating around that people can freely use for themselves contradicts the goals of the pharmaceutical money machine:

“We know what’s good for you, and what’s not good for you. The government has given us a monopoly on healing, and you’d better go along with it.”

Yes, even if a medicine kills you, it’s still the best that “science” can offer at the present moment.

And by the way, parents have no say in how their children are treated. They have no inherent rights. The government owns those children. As proof, if health authorities don’t like what the parents are doing, they can come in and take the children away and put them in foster care, where they’ll be drugged up to their eyeballs.

Medically speaking, Australia is on lockdown. The majority of citizens appear to be unaware or unconcerned. But those who are aware are looking for, and using, alternatives. They are forming a growing underground.

The Australian government is advised to study the history of police states. In the long run, they fail. People will stand for only so much, particularly when their health and the health of their children are on the line.

The police state appears to be invincible…until one day it isn’t, because huge numbers of people, who have been dealing with their very survival, outflank totalitarian departments and bureaus.

The top-down control factor disintegrates. A belittled and minimized impulse re-emerges.

It’s called freedom.

It turns out that the “market” in freedom is forever.

The mind never forgets it.

Marijuana to be legalized in Canada by mid-2018

The long-awaited countrywide legalization of marijuana is reportedly set to take effect in Canada by 1 July 2018. Canada’s CBC News is reporting that the decision will be announced officially in the week of April 10, and that the law will be set out in harmony with the recommendations of a task force appointed by the federal government and chaired by Anne McLellan, who served as Canada’s Justice Minister between 1997 and 2002.

Though the federal government will legislate the supply of marijuana and license operators out of Ottawa, the country’s capital, provinces will decide how the plant is distributed, the price at which it will be sold, and the minimum age for buying marijuana (if higher than the absolute minimum of 18 set by the government).

Canadians will also be able to grow their own marijuana plants if they prefer, but will be restricted to no more than four plants per household.

While views about the legalization of marijuana remain divided, the United States is slowly but surely following in the same path as Canada. With several states voting to legalize the medicinal use of marijuana in the 2016 election, the number of states in which such use is now legal has reached 29. Seven states have also passed legislation approving the recreational use of pot.

In Colorado, where marijuana is legal for both recreational and medicinal use, sales grew by 40 percent to almost $1 billion in 2015 alone. The state has experienced double the economic growth of the rest of the country since choosing to make recreational pot use legal.

Proponents of legalization, particularly those who recognize the health benefits of marijuana, are encouraged to see more and more states recognizing its amazing potential, though it remains illegal at a federal level.

The more than 100 million Americans who suffer with chronic pain, for example, are generally forced to resort to opioid pain relievers, which are incredibly addictive and result in thousands of deaths annually. Marijuana, on the other hand, has a low potential for addiction, minimal side effects and is an excellent natural painkiller.

Marijuana has countless other health benefits, too:

  • It has helped countless children who suffer with seizures, including those with Dravet’s syndrome, to get their debilitating condition under control;
  • It can be used to treat glaucoma – a disease which exerts pressure on the eyeball, resulting in blindness – by decreasing pressure within the eye;
  • CBD, a compound within marijuana, has the potential to halt the spread of cancer by switching off a gene called Id-1;
  • It can provide immense relief to those undergoing chemotherapy, by reducing nausea, while relieving pain;
  • At low doses, it can be used to treat anxiety disorders;
  • Studies have found that it may slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease;
  • It reduces pain for those suffering with multiple sclerosis;
  • It helps to control muscle spasms;
  • It can reduce the side effects of hepatitis C treatment, while increasing the medication’s efficacy;
  • It has shown promise in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases like Chron’s and ulcerative colitis;
  • The elderly can use it to relieve the discomfort of arthritis;
  • It can help to reduce obesity by speeding up the metabolism;
  • It can alleviate the symptoms of the autoimmune disorder, lupus; and
  • Marijuana has shown excellent potential in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

And the list of benefits goes on …

It will be interesting to see what other medical breakthroughs and discoveries are made as more studies focus on the benefits of this little plant that packs a serious health punch.

There Are Now 100 Scientific Studies Proving Cannabis Cures Cancer

Source: TrueActivist.com
Amanda Froelich
March 29, 2017

Despite the fact that countless individuals have used cannabis oil to heal their afflictions, the U.S. Cancer Institute lists cannabis as a ‘cure’ for cancer on its website, and a multitude of veterans credit the herb with helping them ditch opioids and alleviate symptoms of PTSD, the marijuana plant remains classified as a Schedule I drug in the United States.

In fact, in most countries around the world, use of the herb and its components for medicinal and recreational purposes remains to be illegal. This continues, regardless of the fact that 0 people die from using the herb each year. In contrast, 30,722 die from alcohol poisoning and 38,329 from abusing pharmaceuticals annually (according to 2014 data).

Some activists, such as Rick Simpson, have suggested that the plant is still illegal in the U.S. on a Federal level because of its multitude of uses. A part of the plant known as hemp can be used for clothing, food, and industrial purposes, and components of the ‘flower’ known as marijuana can inspire creativity, free-thinking and, of course, contribute to healing.

It is an injustice that individuals are refused access to the herb considering it is 100% natural and has been cultivated for thousands of years. Additionally, at least 100 studies prove that the plant can combat one of the most frightening modern afflictions: cancer. As 1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men are predicted to develop cancer in their lifetimes, it is past time the herb lose its stigma and Schedule I status so that citizens worldwide might benefit from its many properties.

Following are 100 studies proving cannabis to be an all-natural cancer killer:

Cannabis kills tumor cells

Uterine, testicular, and pancreatic cancers

Brain cancer

Mouth and throat cancer

Breast cancer

Lung cancer

Prostate cancer

Blood cancer

Skin cancer

Liver cancer

Cannabis cancer cures (general)

Cancers of the head and neck

Cholangiocarcinoma cancer

Leukemia

Cannabis partially/fully induced cancer cell death

Translocation-positive rhabdomyosarcoma

Lymphoma

Cannabis kills cancer cells

Melanoma

Thyroid carcinoma

Colon cancer

Intestinal inflammation and cancer

Former Big Pharma executive behind Oxycontin now runs a medical marijuana business

Lance D. Johnson
December 15, 2016

John Stewart was at the helm of Purdue Pharma in 2013. He was in the business of making Oxycontin, a prescription opioid painkiller that has addicted an estimated 1.9 million Americans and led to countless overdose deaths. In fact, between 1999 and 2012, accidental overdoses from prescription painkillers quadrupled. In 2015, a gut-wrenching 55,403 lethal drug overdoses were reported.

“There is a lot of anti-opioid sentiment,” says John Stewart. “And certainly based on the social disruption that we’ve seen it’s understandable.”

Stewart still believes that there is a place for powerful opioids in relieving severe and chronic pain, but he now clearly sees how dangerous and addictive these drugs truly are.

In 2013, he left his powerful position with Purdue Pharma, and is now the co-founder of a medical marijuana company called Emblem Cannabis located in Paris, Ontario. Stewart’s shift to the medical marijuana industry is important. It’s a safer medicine for dealing with a multitude of health problems, including seizures, glaucoma and problems associated with the immune and nervous systems. One cannot become physically addicted to cannabis. There are no records of overdose deaths from cannabis, either. In states where medical marijuana is legal, doctors prescribe fewer opioid painkillers. The shift away from opioids to medical marijuana is one that will continue to save lives.

Prescription opioid deaths set to plummet in Canada, as medical marijuana goes mainstream

Stewart became curious about medical marijuana while working at Purdue Pharma. After delving into research, he even considered bringing a drug to market, but his plans never came to fruition. His research did, however, spark a passion to find better ways to deliver the therapeutic properties of cannabis to patients.

Now, his new business, Emblem, has joined Canada’s booming marijuana market, becoming the 35th business to receive its license to grow and sell medical marijuana in Ottawa.

As an investor, Stewart believes that the company can generate $74 million (U.S.) in revenue each year. The commercial cannabis industry is flourishing in Canada because in 2014 the government began requiring that patients buy medical marijuana straight from large scale, licensed growers. Investors are flocking to Canada because the government there (according to many) is on the verge of legalizing recreational marijuana across the entire country. This will ultimately help the estimated 15 percent of Canadians who have prescriptions for opioid painkillers.

Stewart plans to invest his time and money in the pharmaceutical side of Emblem Cannabis. He is spending money on research into different plant strains and dosing, and is investigating the market for various delivery methods including pills, patches, sprays and gel caps.

Stewart says that many of the people in the marijuana industry are skeptical of a former pharmaceutical executive coming in. He says that they are afraid that big Pharma is going to take over the industry.

“These days nobody wants big pharma, particularly in the United States, to do anything,” he says.

He has also met other pioneers in the industry who embrace the opportunity of new capital to strengthen research and improve consistency and quality control.

Starting with cannabis, the shift back to nature’s medicine will begin to cut away at Big Pharma’s violence against humanity. Let’s just hope that the medical marijuana industry doesn’t get overrun with greed. Let’s hope that the profits the industry generates will be used for expanding research into the countless other therapeutic properties of plants on our planet.

Brain tumor vanishes in ‘Miracle Baby’ after family chooses cannabinoid oil

Cannabis oil
Source: NaturalNews.com

November 15, 2016

There is nothing quite so horrendous and heartbreaking as a baby with a malignant brain tumor, especially for parents and family. But at the same time, there is little as joyous and uplifting as seeing those tumors go away – and without the costly “assistance” of the corporate medical industry.

Recently, the father of an eight-month-old baby decided he would shun traditional radiation treatment and chemotherapy and instead push for an alternative treatment using cannabis oil. The baby’s physician, Dr. William Courtner, who was initially skeptical earlier in his career about medical cannabis, has since seen such impressive results with it that he’s not a big believer and a staunch advocate.

And the baby, by the way, was a huge reason for his conversion.

“They were putting cannabinoid oil on the baby’s pacifier twice a day, increasing the dose… And within two months there was a dramatic reduction, enough that the pediatric oncologist allowed them to go ahead with not pursuing traditional therapy,” Courtney said in an interview with The Huffington Post.

At four months the tumor had completely disappeared, and after eight months of treatment, the brain architecture and tissues were completely normal, making the toddler a “miracle baby” in Courtney’s words.

The physician further noted that successful application of cannabis in this case means that “this child, because of that, is not going to have the long-term side effects that would come from a very high dose of chemotherapy or radiation… currently the child’s being called a miracle baby, and I would have to agree that this is the perfect response that we should be insisting is frontline therapy for all children before they launch off on all medications that have horrific long term side effects.”

Long before voters in some states have approved ballot measures legalizing marijuana for recreational use (it is still against federal law, by the way), many states permitted the use of pot to treat various medical conditions – from cancers and asthma to neurodegenerative diseases and autoimmune disorders.

This makes sense, because numerous studies have shown that cannabis has incredible healing qualities, and that is particularly true for cancers. Indeed, as we have reported, the National Cancer Institute has documented more than two dozen studies on how incredible the healing power of cannabis is.

In animal tests, for instance, researchers have found that cannabis is effective in treating two forms of highly lethal liver cancer – hepatic adenoma tumors and hepatocellular carcinoma.

We reported further:

Benign tumors in other organs, such as the pancreas, testes, uterus and mammary and pituitary glands, were diminished as well. Several reviews also found that cannabinoids appear to encourage cancer cell death (apoptosis), while preserving normal cells. Moreover, cannabis induces programmed cell death in breast cancer cell lines and offers protection against both colorectal and lung cancer.

And, as the Free Thought Project has noted, even the mainstream media appears to be admitting to the fact that cannabis has wonderful medical qualities. As CNN has reported, there are at least 10 medical conditions cannabis appears to relieve.

Also, the network’s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, says it’s time for a “medical marijuana revolution.” What’s more, he said based on his research for a series of documentaries on medical marijuana, there is growing support among varied political constituencies and the medical community for Congress to reschedule marijuana from Class 1 (narcotic) to something much more benign (and fitting).

Dr. Gupta is right – there is so much that is truly revolutionary about cannabis and marijuana, especially when it comes to treating cancer, so much that you’d be simply amazed.
