Target Indonesia?

Dr. Joseph P. Farrell Ph.D.

There are some interesting developments on the other side of the world from Syria, in Indonesia, to be precise, courtesy of some articles many of you sent to me, including Mr. E.G., who supplied the following three articles:

Prabowo Expresses Gratitude to FPI Leader for ‘Saving Indonesia’s Democracy’

Trump’s Indonesian Allies In Bed With ISIS-Backed Militia Seeking to Oust Elected President

Of the two articles, I want to concentrate on the second, for if its sweeping allegations are true, we have yet another case of elements of the American deep state supporting the most radical elements within Islam, to overthrow the government of yet another “moderate” or “secular” Muslim state, in this case, Indonesia. See if the following play book sounds vaguely familiar:

Associates of Donald Trump in Indonesia have joined army officers and a vigilante street movement linked to ISIS in a campaign that ultimately aims to oust the country’s president. According to Indonesian military and intelligence officials and senior figures involved in what they call “the coup,” the move against President Joko Widodo (known more commonly as Jokowi), a popular elected civilian, is being impelled from behind the scenes by active and retired generals.

Prominent supporters of the coup movement include Fadli Zon, vice speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives and Donald Trump’s main political booster in the country; and Hary Tanoe, Trump’s primary Indonesian business partner, who is building two Trump resorts, one in Bali and one outside Jakarta.

This account of the movement to overthrow President Jokowi is based on dozens of interviews and is supplemented by internal army, police, and intelligence documents I obtained or viewed in Indonesia, as well as by NSA intercepts obtained by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. Many sources on both sides of the coup spoke on condition of anonymity. Two of them expressed apparently well-founded concerns about their safety.

Now, of course, when one thinks of the words “coup”, “Indonesia” and “military junta” all at once, one tends to think of 1965 and the coup against Indonesian president Sukarno, a coup that, for all its complexities, many (this author included) still think has the CIA’s hands all over it (and let’s not forget the ever-present Hjalmar Schacht hovering in the background, and Sukarno’s more recently revealed connection to Operation Golden Lily’s looted Japanese gold). Indeed, as the article itself notes, the 1965 coup is viewed that way to this day, in Indonesia:

Yet in repeated, detailed conversations with me, key protest figures and officials who track them have dismissed the movement against Ahok and the charges against him as a mere pretext for a larger objective: sidelining the country’s president, Jokowi, and helping the army avoid consequences for its mass killings of civilians — such as the 1965 massacres that were endorsed by the U.S. government, which armed and backed the Indonesian military.

Now, as then, the fear is Communism in the government:

Barely mentioning religious questions, they said Indonesia’s problem was New-Style Communism, and the army must be able to step in and guide the situation because Indonesia is not mature, not ready for democracy. Jokowi, they charged, was providing a space for communism, and the only strong organization that can face up to that is the army.

As to their street protest movement, they said, we civilians must be backed by the military, something they said was indeed happening secretly because now under reformasi the military can’t engage in politics. According to Haji Usamah, “It’s an intelligence operation by military personnel, but the army can’t be out front. They give the strategic view and direction. The army doesn’t like the communists.”

Leaving aside the memories of 1965, I want to concentrate on the high octane speculation of the day. I am certainly not by any stretch of the imagination familiar with Indonesian history, culture, or the internal tensions in that country, other than in the most general way. What intrigues me about this article and more importantly, with the more disturbing developments in that country in general, are things that lie outside the convenient comparisons of today with 1965, of President Jokowi with President Sukarno. Certainly the internal tensions are there to be exploited. What is disturbing is the wider picture and pattern that we’ve seen before: radicalized Islamic elements, the military, and US connections.

The question is: why, with these suggestions of US deep state connections, would those elements be interested in toppling yet another relatively secular and moderate Muslim state? The reasons for that, I suspect, are many and varied, and not the least of them involve the idea of setting up a “clash of civilizations” scenario. There appears to be a certain element of the globaloney crowd that wants to promote the most egregious and radical forms of Islam wherever it can. And thus far, its allies in these endeavors have been radical elements, funded and armed by a variety of cutouts, with many of those roads leading to Riyadh. Why there? Consider: the world is being divided into two blocs (again), one centered on Russia and China, and the latter’s New Silk Road project, against which Mr. Globaloney has only one thing to offer: dollars, drones, and empire. As a way of extending its reach, it would appear that the “standard play book” is being revised, updated, and translated from Damascus to Jakarta. But Riyadh, too, is getting cold feet, and has recently made noises about wanting to join the BRICSA bloc.

Howsoever one parses its role, it does seem clear that there are deeper players in the most recent Indonesian shenanigans, and I hate to say it, but we have not heard the last of those deeper players. This is one to watch, folks, for rest assured, Washington, Beijing, Tokyo, and Moscow are watching.

See you on the flip side…

6/9/2016 – Global Earthquake Forecast – Seismic Activity Spreading Worldwide From West Pacific

June 9, 2016

This weeks earthquake forecast covers the previous areas missed by last weeks forecast. Asia (East of Nepal to Vietnam) has been silent for almost two full weeks with no activity above M4.0 reported, this means the area is under pressure from the East (coming from the Pacific unrest showing around Indonesia and Japan).

This past week, a new swarm of earthquakes spread across Japan topping out at a mere M5.1.. I was certainly expecting more activity than this to develop, but the deep M6.4 below Indonesia appears to have changed things up midway during this past week.

Sumatra was hit as expected, now priming the area North of India and East of India for larger movement. If we go another week with silence across the Himalayan range, then a serious look needs to be taken at what is causing the building “silence” which is really building pressure and not releasing via smaller earthquakes like we would hope to see.

West coast of the United States.. watch near Los Angles, San Diego East to the border with Nevada, South to Cerro Prieto volcano / Salton Sea volcanic buttes. No reported earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest (suspicious to say the least)… thus we need to watch for larger movement to the South at this point in addition to the Pacific Northwest.

The edge of the craton should be on watch for M4.0 activity at the dormant volcanoes and fracking operations across Eastern California, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. ALL should be hit this week by moderate movement.

The East coast should expect (and has now already received before this video was uploaded) a M3.1 (m2.6 revised) earthquake. Nova Scotia was just struck while this video was uploading to youtube… however we still need to watch this Northeast craton edge location for the remainder of the week.

Europe, the reset button was hit when the M4.5 struck near Mount Dutch supervolcano at the North Pole (not reported by the USGS by the way). Now pressure is rebuilding in South Europe, putting Italy, Greece and the Mediterranean sea back in the mix for M5.0 range (or greater) earthquakes this week. IF we see a large earthquake across North India or the Himalayan range then this may place new additional pressure on Europe.

Keep watch for the silent zones shown in this video for possible large movement this week.

This past week we saw a marked increase in M6.0 range activity (Five event) compared to the previous weeks showing half the amount. If things carry on upwards, we’ll start seeing M7.0 range earthquakes and possibly even new sudden volcanic eruptions in Indonesia , Mexico, and central America.

3/02/2016 — Large Earthquake (M7.8) + Tsunami in Indonesia – US Agencies IGNORE Tsunami

Source: Dutchsinse
March 2, 2016

This is a full blown science scandal. No doubt about it.

A large M7.9 (M7.8 revised) earthquake struck Sumatra Indonesia, very close to the two large earthquake epicenters from 2004 + 2005 which killed hundreds of thousands of people via multiple large tsunamis.

The great M9.1 mega-quake of December 2004, and the 2nd massive M8.6 on March 28, 2005 both occurred near the location struck today in 2016.

Today 10-11 years later , in 2016, we now see that the US Agencies tasked with covering , reporting, monitoring, and warning the public about tsunami threats have officially CLOSED SHOP in the far West Pacific + Indian ocean.

Yes, the US Government has made a very unwise decision to NOT REPORT TSUNAMIS which occur in the West Pacific + Indian ocean. Per their own words…

“The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center is no longer covering the Indian Ocean region. That service is now being provided by regional tsunami service providers in Australia, India, and Indonesia: Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre (JATWC) Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia (BMKG)”

Even though we have military bases, loved ones, business ventures, asset investments, and US Citizens as tourists in the region… the USGS, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, Alaska Tsunami Warning Center, and even the general website IGNORED the earthquake, and IGNORED the tsunami warnings issued by other countries.

Most importantly, they ignored the buoys which were paid for by US funds , installed in the region to provide us with the data, and warnings for the region.

Sending us to FOREIGN sources for information?

There is no reason, scientific, logistic, or financial that should (or can) prevent the monitoring, reporting to the public, of earthquake generated ocean waves (tsunamis).

The fact that I had to rely on FOREIGN SERVICES and CNN to find out if a tsunami was generated, while all the people at the Alaska, Pacific tsunami warning centers are sitting back in their offices collecting nice paychecks….

The fact that I HAD TO DO THEIR JOB TODAY, and report a tsunami to my United States viewers — several conflicting media reports on the big media channels like CNN, NBC etc… some saying a wave was generated, others saying no wave.

Meanwhile, I had to then go monitor the buoys in the region myself, calculate wave height off the detected waves in the region, and decide if I was going to report a wave or not.

I get paid the = to a part time dishwasher from the work I do online.. this is not an exaggeration in the slightest. Thus, these professionals , dozens (hundreds?) at the different agencies are collectively costing us tens of millions of dollars in salaries alone… why am I even having to say anything at this point?

Bombing In Indonesia – High Octane Speculation

Joseph P. Farrell Ph.D
January 16, 2016

A few days ago I was talking with a friend of mine who lives in Indonesia, and, as it turns out, in the capital of that nation, Jakarta. We occasionally talk about various matters of geopolitics and finance, that impact that region of the world. This time, however, as we were talking, the following event literally occurred:

Terror Attacks in Indonesia’s Capital to Shift Regional Balance of Power

There’s a number of points one should note in this article, not the least of which is that the nation is (1) largely Suni, and (2) attempts to be a modern Islamic state. Or to put it country simple, Indonesia is not Saudi Arabia, it is not at the epicenter of the exportation of terrorism or terrorist proxy armies of fundamentalist jihadists. With that in mind, one reads this article with an uneasy feeling, for it contains certain statements that suggest that someone, somewhere, wants to expand this “war on terrorism” to encompass the entire Islamic world, whether or not any given component of that world is an epicenter for terrorism. Consider the following statements in this regard:

Indonesia was considered a central theater in the war on terrorism by many policymakers in the Bush administration. Since Indonesia has the largest Sunni Muslim population in the world, poverty and political instability, could fuel the growth of religious instability. The island of Bali was twice  the scene of gruesome bombings targeting foreign nationals. The bombing in 2002 killed 202 people, while the October 2005 suicide attacks killed at least 20.

The US has been giving sufficient military support since the east Timor independence. The US has numerous military training programs with Indonesia. From 2002-04, Indonesia received $1.3 million from US-IMET (International Military Education and Training) program. The IMET program was suspended from 1999-2002 due to concerns about human rights abuses in East Timor by the Indonesian Military. Indonesia got 14.3 million dollar for the Bali Bomb attack in 2002 from US for Antiterrorism Assistance program.

In 2002-2004 The US Department of Defense funded 4.2 million dollars for the education in counterterrorism practices and strategies for Indonesian military and intelligence officials for Counterterrorism Fellowship Program. US also gave 6 million dollars in 2005 for the Indonesian navy for Maritime Security as foreign military financing.

One notes that Washington – as probably Tokyo, Beijing, Moscow and New Delhi, all view the nation as an important and “pivot” nation in the region.
