Strange Messages From The Middle East [Part 1] – Russia

In case you haven’t noticed, there have been a couple of strange – in fact, very strange – messages coming from the Middle East in the last few days. And for once, they didn’t come from the perpetually strange and bizarre (out)house of Saud. While I’m tempted, because of the strangeness of these statements, to wonder if someone might be slipping a little LSD into the water supply in Damascus and Baghdad, that convenient explanation, unfortunately, will not work in these instances, since the populations of Damascus and Baghdad, American lamestream media biases notwithstanding, do not appear to be “tripping.” Since the LSD-in-the-water-supply hypothesis will not work in these instances, I am required to fall back on our trademark high octane speculation.

Unfortunately, these statements are so strange and bizarre, particularly given the context and geopolitical situation in which they were made, that I will have to treat each of them in a separate blog, so today’s “part one” is about the strange Russian statement, which was noticed and shared by many regular readers of this site, to whom, of course, I am grateful for bringing it to our attention:

General Konashenkov: Russia will take down any unidentified flying objects in Syria

Now when something appears on The Saker’s website, I tend to sit up and take notice, for it’s one of the most respected websites on the internet for presenting and arguing events from the “Russian point of view.” And this consideration brings us chin to chin with General Konashenkov’s strange comments in a press briefing, and a message targeted specifically and directed to Washington:

Today the Syrian Army is equipped with the air defense complexes effective enough, such as S-200, BUK, and other defense system

Also, we want to remind the American “strategists” that Russia currently has S-400 and S-300 air-defense systems deployed to protect its troops stationed at the Tartus naval supply base and the Khmeimim airbase. The radius of the weapons reach may be “a surprise” to all unidentified flying objects.

It’s important to come back to reality and to realize that Russian air defense system crews are unlikely to have time to determine in a ‘straight line’ the exact flight paths of missiles and then who the warheads belong to. And all the illusions of amateurs about the existence of ‘invisible’ jets will face a disappointing reality,

Say what? The range of the weapons may be “a surprise to all unidentified flying objects”?

As few days ago I blogged about a similarly strange statement from Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, who indicated that there would be “tectonic consequences” if Washington continued on its war path. As I noted, “tectonic” is a phrase designed to underscore in the strongest possible language that the geopolitical consequences would be, well, tectonic, i.e., earth shattering. For many months I’ve suspected that the (out)house of Saud is “on the menu”, but in the wake of the “coup” in Turkey, the question may really be whose menu the (out)house is on. There is the very real possibility, as some readers here have suggested in their commentary, or in their private emails, that Sultan Erdogan was alerted to the pending coup by Russia, and has seized upon it as a crisis of opportunity to purge Turkey of opposition, and to take it along a rather different path of Islamicization than we have hitherto seen, rejecting the heritage of Attaturk, and returning to its Sufi roots. There is, indeed, reason to conclude this, for Erdogan’s sudden and sweeping foreign policy reversals of the last few weekes, opening the door to normalized relations with Syria, restoring relations with Israel, and most importantly, apologizing to Russia for the downing of a Russia fighter last year and offering full compensation to the victim’s family, are an indicator that Erdogan has broken the alliance with the Saudis in Syria.

Now, according to this article that many have shared with me, the US State Department is alerting Americans in Saudi Arabia:

While the article is worth reading, I want to focus your attention on the beginning paragraphs, for they form the grist for the mill of today’s “high octane speculation”:

Back in April, the US quietly warned citizens of “credible threats” to tourist areas in Turkey, particularly in Istanbul and the southern resort city of Antalya. In retrospect, one historic suicide bombing at the local airport, and one failed and/or staged coup later, the warning had been spot on. Which is why while traditionally official warnings of upcoming threats to US citizens around the globe have been generally ignored, this time it may be prudent to pay attention.

Moments ago, the US State Department warned Americans in Saudi Arabia about a “potential, imminent threat against U.S. citizens” Wednesday and urged to travel with caution. The agency tweeted out a brief statement titled “Reports of a potential imminent threat” in Jeddah.

So what’s the big deal? Where’s the room for high octane speculation here?

For one thing, the admission that the US was warning American citizens in Turkey is a strange admission to something that is now evident: it had advance knowledge of the coup (and may have been involved at some level in orchestrating it), and this means that at least two countries had advance knowledge, the USA, and Russia. Thus, the context suggests that perhaps a similar thing is in store for Saudi Arabia. One can, of course, rehearse all the reasons that this is highly unlikely: the Saudis possess an efficient intelligence service, and given the recent declassifications of the 9/11 commission document, certainly appear capable of mounting covert operations.

Remember that classified 9/11 report that was ordered by the Bush White House to be classified and withheld from public view? Well apparently a great number of you did, for I received a veritable flood of articles and links to it, and I want to thank you all. Before getting into today’s high octane speculation, here’s the link to the actual pdf file of that document, and trust me, it’s well worth reading and pondering, especially in today’s world where most western leaders and media have their heads buried in the sand:

A careful reading of the document discloses one overall, and unavoidable, conclusion: the fingerprints of the (Out)house of Saud are all over the 9/11 event, insofar as the hijackers are concerned.  And this, indeed, raises once again the question of why the Bush Jr administration would have insisted upon it being withheld from the public during the 9/11 Commission hearings, hearings which, you’ll recall, that administration was none too enthused about. The consistent pattern of hijacker association to the (out)house of Saud highlights once again that disturbing set of connections between the Bush family, its close associates, and members of the Saudi “government.”

Most regular readers of this website, and those familiar with my interviews or, for that matter, with my most recent book Hidden Finance, Rogue Networks, and Secret Sorcery also know that I believe, unlike most 9/11 researchers, that the whole operation was not merely a two-leveled operation, consisting of the hikackers/patsies at the outer or first, surface level, and a deeper level of a rogue network within the American national security/military/intelligence complex. Such views are fairly standard within the 9/11 community, and to that extent, I share them, and share also its fairly early determination that the (out)house of Saud played a role at both levels in some fashion.

But as most readers are also aware that I believe that 9/11 was a penetrated operation at that second deeper level, i.e., that there was a third player, neither a rogue neo-con network within the American deep state, nor simply the level of the Muslim hijackers. In that vein, I was intrigued by the statements of former US Senator Bob Graham during an American news show, when he indicated that he thought the report should be declassified, because its contents were “explosive” and because it indicated foreign “governments” were involved. This comment focused my attention like a laser, for it meant that someone else was involved other than the usual suspects, the miserable (out)house of Saud. It was the possibility of other unknown players that intrigued me, and I searched for whom I thought those other players might be… who was that third level? Of course there were the usual suspects – Israel from the “Jews are behind everything” crowd, but I dismiss this for the simple reason that geopolitically it has nothing to gain from the creation of such chaos.

My suspicions were fueled, as I wrote in Hidden Finance, Rogue Networks, and Secret Sorcery, by the post-9/11 statements of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, who indicated that Al-Qaeda was connected to a “global network”, but never specified what that network was. Russian economist Dr. Tatyana Koryagana also stated, before 9/11 that the USA would be the target of coordinated terrorist attacks on American soil, by a global network run by a few men with access to assets in excess of $300,000,000,000,000 dollars.  Statements like this indicated that something else, entirely, lay at the heart of that deepest players, something far exceeding the delusion of the (out)house of Saud or rogue neo-con networks in the American deep state.

One of the most difficult things that confronts me when I sit down is not only making final selections from the vast amount of very provocative material and articles that people send me, but oftentimes, how to connect it all. Sometimes people send me their own analyses of events. This past two weeks has been such a flood of thought-provoking analysis and sharing of stories from readers here that I almost decided to start a whole new category of blogs here called the “grab bag”, and simply list a bunch of articles, without much comment, that people had sent me. To put it plainly, I wish I had the time and energy to blog about all of it, because it is all worthy of attention. All I can say is, thank you, to everyone sending articles, analyses, and comments, for truly, it is all worthy of attention. But alas, I am only one person, a hack from South Dakota, and can only select from various stories.

Many of these articles had to do with Saudi Arabia, and the apparent implosion of the (out)House of Saud. [Out]House Of Saud Threatens To Sell Of US Treasuries If 9/11…

So many of you noticed this story and passed along various versions of this story, that I have to talk about it, for it would seem the (Out)House of Saud is pleading the fifth, in that inimitable way that tyrants and medieval butchers plead the fifth. You’ll recall that I’ve blogged about the story that former U.S. Senators Bob Graham has been pressing for the release of still classified 9/11 documents that implicate the Saudis as having a role in that day’s events:

Of course, what’s intriguing here is why the (out)House of Saud would resort to such blatant blackmail tactics. Granted, it’s to be expected from this type of regime. But the oddity of it won’t go away for all that. Most everyone who has studied 9/11 in depth has come to the reasonable conclusion that there was a Saudi role, at some deep level (though, I would aver, not at the deepest level). What is odd is why, by this action alone, the Saudi’s would seek to confirm it.

Well, it now seems clear that the (out)house of Saud is ‘on the menu,” for many of you are sending me versions of a story that indicates the Saudi royals have taken steps to “clip the wings” of the so-called “religious police” in that blighted land:

Saudi Arabia clips religious police’s powers and orders them to be ‘gentle and humane’

Here’s the details of this “humane” announcement:

The ultra-conservative kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reined in its religious police, stripping their arresting powers and ordering them to be “gentle and humane” while imposing the Islamic code. The much-feared morality police’s powers were clipped in an unexpected move by Riyadh under a new structure put in place.

The duty of the religious force, formally known as Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, will henceforth be limited to promoting Islamic values. Also, they are not allowed to demand even identification documents from the public.

To Drone Or Not To Drone: ISIS, Israel & The [Out]House Of Saud

This is already shaping up to be one of the strangest periods for news in recent memory, for consider only the recent revelations from Israel’s Ha Aretz that it had at one time hired SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny as a contract hitman. It’s the timing that is odd, especially given the recent “summit” of Presidents Macri and Obama in San Carlos di Bariloche in Argentina’s souther Rio Negro Province. For anyone paying attention to the history of the area, it’s a well-known “Nazi haven”.

But now there’s even stranger news, and it concerns the fact that in sponsoring Isis terrorism, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia may be experiencing the mere beginning of that classic covert operations phenomenon called “blow back”:

In a certain sense, this was inevitable and to be expected, for the stories abound that refer to the hypocrisy of the (out)house of Saud, maintaining Wahhabism at home for everyone else, and smoking cigars and flying in copious booze for parties in the west.

But there’s another aspect to this story that indicates that perhaps the internal situation is decaying inside the desert kingdom faster than perhaps even the Saudis are willing to admit. It’s this:

CATO Institute – Time For America To Reconsider Its Relationship With..

Last Thursday  I did my News and Views from the Nefarium about the  increasing signs that the (out)house of Saud may be in deep trouble, and not only in trouble, but on the menu, referring to this Daily Bell analysis of a recent article by F. William Engdahl:

House of Saud May Be in Danger of Falling

The sequence of events has, indeed, been interesting. There have been suggestions that the (out)house of Saud was persuaded by some in Washington to drastically lower the price of oil as a means of economic warfare against Russia, and some have alleged that the Suadis were also also hoping to pull the rug from underneath the emerging American fracking industry. Either way one slices it, it has left Riyadh in a financial mess, with the (out)house of Saud actually having to issue bonds to cover it budget deficits.Additionally, it is now recognized – and have been for some time –  that the Saudis have been sponsors of a great deal of Islamic terrorist organizations and front groups.

Here, as elsewhere, one is getting a set of mixed messages. Perhaps sensing the “sea change” of attitudes, the (out)house of Saud – and my thanks to a listener of News and Views for correcting me on this point – then hypocritically announced that it was putting together and intending to lead a new coalition of Muslim states against terrorism:
