How Advertisers are Influencing Your Subconscious Mind to Get You to Buy From Them…

Advertisers spend millions of dollars each year using psychological techniques that play at the subconscious level to entice you to take actions or buy products that you might not otherwise. They understand that it is the consumer’s subconscious mind that makes most decisions, and they are experts at forming associations between your subconscious programming and their clients’ products and services.

Most of us are exposed to more than 5000 marketing messages every day.

Advertisers design their campaigns to emotionally influence the subconscious in a fleeting instant, with colour, words, images and music. Subliminal (meaning below your conscious threshold) advertising is a hugely popular method of reaching the subconscious, and we are exposed to hundreds of thousands of subliminal messages each year.

Studies exploring subliminal perception show clearly how they influence subconscious processing and action. In one study, two groups of students were shown two different but similar pictures of trees;

One group saw a picture only of the trees. The others saw the second image, which was doctored to also contain an artfully concealed duck.

After studying their image, each group was asked to draw a nature scene and to label it.

The group who had studied the trees that contained the subliminal duck image drew more ducks and related imagery, such as feathers, birds and water, as compared to the other group, who had studied the undoctored image!

In another study, published in the Journal of Advertising, researchers gathered two groups of participants, one shown advertisements with no subliminal images and the other shown advertisements containing sexually subliminal messages.

The first doctored ad was for Marlboro Lights cigarettes, and it showed cowboys on horseback riding through rocky terrain. Subtly blended into the rocks was an image of a penis (yes, a penis). The second ad was for Chivas Regal whisky, and in the bottle a designer had skilfully and subtly blended the image of the back of a nude woman.

Everyone in the study was hooked up to monitoring equipment; instruments that recorded galvanic skin response, which measures stress levels and arousal through the electrical conductivity levels of the skin. Your skin conductivity will react even to subconscious arousal, which is part of the principle on which lie detector tests are based.

Each group looked at the ads (one group the undoctored ads, the other group the ads containing the subliminal images) for only 30 seconds. The result was that the arousal response of the group who saw the advertisements containing the subliminal sexual images was 20% higher than for the group who saw the advertisements without the subliminal messages.

Why do advertisers go to such lengths in their advertising?

Because a stronger emotional subconscious association between an image and a brand/product causes millions of us to make purchasing choices for those products, choices we might not otherwise have made if we had been considering only price, quality and other more independent and impartial factors.

So next time you feel drawn to a product / brand / advert, maybe ask yourself whats really going on…

Taxpayers shocked to learn their money helped create the EpiPen as price gouging skyrockets out of control

Millions will be shocked to learn that Mylan Pharmaceuticals did not, in fact, invent the EpiPen concept. The product’s creator was actually a man of decency, and a very skilled engineer. Sheldon Kaplan was an engineer for NASA before he created the EpiPen.

Kaplan is said to have lived a modest, simple life in the middle class. He never received royalties for his invention or became famous. His son Michael says that he believes his father wouldn’t have cared much for fame, though.

According to US Uncut, after his time at NASA, Kaplan began working at Survival Technology, Inc., which is located in Maryland. There, he started his quest to design a product to quickly inject life-saving epinephrine into users who where suffering from anaphylaxis. People with allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish and other potential allergens can experience life-threatening reactions, and the traditional method of drawing up a syringe is inefficient. When a person cannot breathe, every second counts.

Kaplan began the last stages of creating his design for the product in 1973. At that time, the United States Department of Defense approached him; they were looking for a device that could be used easily to quickly inject an antidote for nerve gas.

The design Kaplan created allowed users to simply press the device into one’s thigh. Life-saving medicine would then be delivered through a needle released by a unique spring-loaded mechanism. The invention would eventually be known as the ComboPen, and it was first used by the Pentagon. Several years later, the product became available to the public as the EpiPen we know today.

The United States government paid for this product’s development with taxpayer money

The EpiPen design truly belongs to the people, not Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Mylan acquired the patent for the EpiPen in 2007, and since then the company has been raising the price of the product each year. Truly, it is detestable for this company to take something they didn’t even design, that was created with taxpayer dollars, and sell it back to us at an astronomical price.

NewsMax reports that in 2008, EpiPens cost about $100 a piece. The current list price for an EpiPen has reached a shocking $600.

Chief Executive Heather Bresch has defended the price-gouging as being a necessity, claiming that the company supposedly invested “hundreds of millions of dollars” to improve the product’s “design.” One new feature is that the needle is “invisible.” One would tend to think that the people who need EpiPens are less concerned about how it looks, and more concerned about the device saving their lives.

Bresch’s insistent cries about the need to raise the price on the product due to their investments in development seem particularly disingenuous when considering the 671 percent pay increase she’s managed to attain over the last few years. Yes, you read that right. Bresch’s annual salary has gone from nearly $2.5 million to just shy of a cool $19 million. Clearly, the general public just can’t understand her struggle. Wouldn’t it be nice to make $19 million a year from what is essentially legal robbery?

In late August, Mylan announced that it will be creating a generic EpiPen product that will be available for half the price of the brand-name device. In other words, Mylan is creating a “new” device that won’t say “EpiPen” on it, and selling it to people for three times what they paid for it eight years ago. Many people seem to think that Mylan was “pressured” into creating a cheaper product, but who’s to say that this wasn’t their plan all along? More people will buy the $300 generics, and their profits will continue to rise. They created the demand for a generic, and they’re going to run with it.

Book Review: Our Occulted History by Jim Marrs

OHST

Zy Marquiez
August 31, 2016

Our Occulted History is a phenomenal venture into the beginnings of ancient history, into the beginnings of an alternative history.

Jim Marrs, in this particular book, leaves no unturned, leaves no vault unchecked in his search for the origins of certain modern conspiracies.

Taking an approach that’s as deep in scope, as it is wide in breadth, Marrs trenchantly makes known mountains of evidence beginning from ancient antiquity all the way to our modern times which forms a vastly different structure of history than what we as a society have been taught.

Sampling research from heavyweight researchers such as Oxford educated Dr. Joseph P. Farrell, Zecharia Sitchin, Robert Bauval, Linda Moulton Howe, Philip Coppens, Robert Schoch, Michael Cremo, and many more, the author infuses the book with hundreds of verifiable data points.  That in and of itself might not seem like much, but when viewed from a larger point of view all of these dots and how Marrs connects them show how all this seemingly disparate information interconnects seamlessly.

Marrs covers wide-ranging subjects such as sacred geometry, the Sumerians, lost probes, the moon, forbidden archaeology, Tesla suppression, Coral Castle, Atlantis, the Dogon tribe, ancient civilizations of many types, Big Money, the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Big Pharma, mainstream media, and dozens of others, to make a sound case that there is an occulted history to the human race, and its far more magnificent, and troubling than what most people could imagine.

That shouldn’t be surprising given how interconnected the media is to the establishment.

Speaking troublesomely about this lock-down information grid, Jim Keith notes in his landmark book Mass Control: Engineering Human Consciousness, citing the work of author G. William Domhoff in The Higher Circles:

The power elite have created and developed that wonderful field of public relations on an incredible scale.  Some of the early practitioners of this art helped scrub up the images of the ‘Robber Barons’ families; others specialized in the corporate image and the corporate image and corporate conscience.  Functionally speaking, the public relations departments of large corporations, in conjunction with the giant public relations firms that service many corporations, have become the early warning system of the upper class, picking up and countering the slightest remark or publication that makes funny lines on their sensitive radar.  Thanks to them public opinion is well-monitored, with an assist of course from the alert social scientists in certain university institutes financed by the big corporations and foundations.  wayward opinions, once detected, are duly corrected by a barrage of printed matter and public pronouncement…”[1]

Keeping everything discussed in mind, Marrs offers us a veritable glimpse into the annals of ancient past.  Admittedly, there is only so much an author can do, but Marrs more than pulled his weight.

Whether or not the reader will agree with his thesis, that being that the elite are covering up evidence of ancient aliens since ancient times, is up to the reader.  What can in fact be said without dispute is that humanity does in fact have an Occulted History and its implications are profoundly disturbing, even if Marrs main thesis is disagreed upon.

Watchdog: Secret Board Resolution Paved Way In ICANN Internet Globalization Agenda

icann-oversight-3

Daniel Taylor
August 29, 2016

Corwin: ICANN CEO Fadi Chehade passed secret resolutions, used NSA spy leaks as “false premise” to strip control from U.S.

Philip Corwin, Founding principal of Virtualaw LLC, and ICANN watchdog for the Internet Commerce Association, spoke out recently at the 49th ICANN meeting. ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is in charge of assigning domain names and IP addresses on the Internet. Until now, the United States has had contractual oversight for the organization.

Singapore hosted the historic ICANN meeting, which discussed the future of internet governance after the United States ceded control. Singapore has a poor track record of internet freedom. Terence Lee writes in a paper for Surveillance and Society that internet regulation in Singapore “… hinges on an ideology of control with the sole aim of producing law-abiding, self-regulated and therefore, economically productive, docile and compliant citizens.”

During the meeting, Corwin expressed his concern that the United States ceding control of the internet was based on the “false premise” that NSA spy revelations required a massive change at ICANN. Corwin also came out against pervasive globalization.

“I am a globalization skeptic, which does not mean that I’m against globalization in the abstract. It means I have great concerns about the quest for globalization that’s going on right now. We are clearly in a time for ICANN of hope and change, that makes me very nervous because hope is not always rewarded and change is not always for the better. I’m also a firm believer in the maxim if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Corwin also revealed that ICANN CEO Fadi Chehade passed secret resolutions to further the goal of “an internet cooperation agenda.” Corwin stated,

“In the last period, particularly in the question which was out there since last summer of whether the NSA revelations undermined trust in ICANN and the Internet and required the type of response we’re seeing. Instead, we saw the establishment of top‐down presidential strategy panels. We saw ‐‐ and I hate to say this ‐‐ a new low point in ICANN with the secret Board resolution last September that authorized the CEO to take many of the actions that have been taken…”

The resolution, issued in September 2013, was published a month after the October 2013 ICANN meeting that pushed for the globalization of ICANN. The October meeting called on members to sign the “Montevideo Statement on the Future of Internet Cooperation.” Corwin notes that “While the Montevideo Statement was signed by ten entities, the actual work of coordinating its issuance was performed by CEO Chehade pursuant to a secret resolution passed by the ICANN Board on September 28th.”

Corwin notes that “No consultation effort was engaged in with ICANN’s stakeholders and constituencies before these decisions were made.” The resolution states,

Whereas, the existing, global, open, multi-stakeholder Internet governance system is under increasing pressure to evolve and adapt to global concerns.

Whereas these increasing pressures cannot be addressed by ICANN alone, but only by a group of similarly concerned organizations and entities acting in concert, ICANN should participate in an effort to form an Internet cooperation agenda (“Coalition”).

Resolved (2013-09-28-C1), the ICANN Board authorizes its CEO to allocate necessary and sufficient time and resources of ICANN and work with other key organizations and leaders to establish a coalition towards the formation of a movement or initiative. The financial resources for building the coalition must be allocated from the already established Strategic Plan funds.

ICANN’s goal of an open and transparent Internet doesn’t seem to coincide with the organization’s recent activities. The move to cede United States control over the Internet is concerning for multiple reasons. Now that ownership is being fought for among the worlds repressive superpowers, freedom of speech on the Net is in danger.

With ICANN now open to the world, a whole host of anxious governments and organizations are grabbing for the power that is the Internet. The European Union, pushing for a “Web 3.0” that will facilitate the Internet of Things, is one potential player. “The European Commission’s position on jurisdiction and choice of law could lead to imposition of the European Union’s approach on data protection, cybersecurity, and other matters on entities outside its direct jurisdiction — including U.S. companies,” writes Corwin.

As former Bush administration State Department advisor Christian Whiton stated, ICANN may end up as part of the United Nations.

Similarly shady activity is taking place with the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which is seeking to impose corporate controlled Internet regulation on its members. Senator Ron Wyden told Congress, “…the majority of Congress is being kept in the dark as to the substance of the TPP negotiations, while representatives of U.S. corporations – like Halliburton, Chevron, PHRMA, Comcast, and the Motion Picture Association of America – are being consulted and made privy to details of the agreement.”

GATES FOUNDATION: WE MADE MISTAKES, BUT WE STILL SUPPORT ROTTEN TO THE ...

Dr. Joseph P. Farrell
August 24, 2016

It has been a long time since I ranted about Amairikun egdykayshun and the nitwit busybody billionaires that, since progressive education was a gleam in John D. Rockefailure’s and Andrew Smarmygie’s eyes, have made such a hash of it. Well, I have to rant again after reading this article shared by Mr. V.T.:

Gates Foundation chief admits Common Core mistakes

Yes, it’s confession time for Bill and Melinda Gates, and for that matter, even the Los Angeles Pravda-Times:

Sue Desmond-Hellmann, foundation chief executive officer, wrote this in a newly released annual letter:

We are firm believers that education is a bridge to opportunity in America. My colleague, Allan Golston, spoke passionately about this at a gathering of education experts last year. However, we’re facing the fact that it is a real struggle to make system-wide change.

And she wrote this about the foundation’s investment in creating, implementing and promoting the Common Core State Standards:

Unfortunately, our foundation underestimated the level of resources and support required for our public education systems to be well-equipped to implement the standards. We missed an early opportunity to sufficiently engage educators – particularly teachers – but also parents and communities so that the benefits of the standards could take flight from the beginning.

This has been a challenging lesson for us to absorb, but we take it to heart. The mission of improving education in America is both vast and complicated, and the Gates Foundation doesn’t have all the answers.

That may be news only to the Gates Foundation. As this new biting editorial in the Los Angeles Times — with the headline, “Gates Foundation failures show philanthropists shouldn’t be setting America’s public school agenda” — says:

It was a remarkable admission for a foundation that had often acted as though it did have all the answers. Today, the Gates Foundation is clearly rethinking its bust-the-walls-down strategy on education — as it should. And so should the politicians and policymakers, from the federal level to the local, who have given the educational wishes of Bill and Melinda Gates and other well-meaning philanthropists and foundations too much sway in recent years over how schools are run.

Now, stay with me here, because here’s where it gets really interesting, for I have made mention of Andrew Smarmygie and John D. Rockefailure in my litany of miserific millionaires and billionaire bysyboddies who’ve so screwed things up over the past century.  But at least with Smarmygie and Rockefailure, we were dealing with people who were willing to swallow the pill they were insisting that others swallow. As my co-author Gary Lawrence and I pointed out in our book Rotten to the (Common) Core, at least Rockefailure insisted that his sons attend the progressivist schools of Abraham Flexner, where they learned to not enjoy reading and to find books tedious and unenjoyable. These patrons of Progress (Nelson Aldrich and Laurence Rockefailure) then went on to other philanthropic causes, becoming presidential advisors and and vice-presidents and what-not. In the case of Andrew Smarmygie, at least he funded actual libraries around the country that had actual books in them that one could actually read, and even learn to disagree with the progressivist nonsense he was promoting.

But Gates? What’s he done? I submit the proof is  in the pudding: nothing. No libraries, no actual books, no musical instruments. The bottom line here is if these billionaire busybodies really want to make a difference, then they should simply donate money and physical equipment, and demonstrate their genuineness by sponsoring schools and equipment string-free, no agenda or political agreement required, They might even consider making huge donations to independent minded colleges like Hillsdale, St. John’s College, and so on.

But of course, they won’t do that, because this isn’t really about education at all for these people. It’s about controlling information and the “narrative”(usually if not always, of a progressivist sort); it’s about the furtherance of their own personal power and profits, and telling everyone else what to think and believe, and to demonstrate their loyalty to that agenda via their standardized tests.

The real bottom line here is about these billionaire busybodies themselves, who hide behind their foundations, which reveal themselves to be nothing but racketeering organizations, organized and legally-sanctioned gangs, using their money, power, and influence to press their political and ultimately anti-cultural and anti-western civilization agenda. Remember, it’s not about improving education, it’s about widening their power, influence, and building out the surveillance state. Remember what Dr. Lawrence and I wrote in Rotten to the Common Core: Nikola Tesla, J.S. Bach, Albert Einstein, Clara Schumann, Ayn Rand, Fanny Mendelssohn, Percy Shelley, Diego Velasquez, Alexander Hamilton, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Locke, and a whole list of geniuses who have contributed to our art, our music, our science, our law, jurisprudence, and political institutions, our civilization, were not billionaire busybodies nor the products of standardized tests or progressivist education.

You really want to improve education, Mr. Gates? Then build libraries, fill them with books of Plato, Aristotle, literature and science books (I’ll be happy to provide a list), buy the musical instruments, spend your billions on getting RID of teacher certification and making sure teachers spend more time learning the disciplines they’re required to teach, and allow them to assess their students away from the prying eye of standardized tests, than they do spending time on edublihter and methodological claptrap in “education” courses. In other words, rethink your whole paradigm, and for heaven’s sakes, get out of the way. Let students learn that not all information is on the internet, that some of it, most of it in fact, that is important to our civilization is in books, that genuine research knows how to look for them and read them and genuine education teachers teach students how to do so, teaches them to listen intelligently to a piece of music or to appreciate art and literature with the intelligence and enjoyment. But you’re about none of that. You think…[Bold Emphasis Added Throughout]

The Super-Entity That Controls Finance & Commerce

QuestionEverything2
TheBreakaway
Zy Marquiez
August 14, 2016

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.”
– Thomas Jefferson

In a previous piece, we detailed how only five corporations control nigh all the media and homogenize news at will, whenever it’s needed.  Here, we are going to see how there exists a core of interlocking companies that control a nucleus of corporations whose tentacles reach far and wide.

Deferring to world-renown investigator, journalist and author, Jim Marrs, writer of outstanding books such as The Rise Of The Fourth Reich, Rule By Secrecy, Trillion-Conspiracy, and more, we find that:

“If the idea that a small group of international yet interconnected individuals controls the world of finance and commerce seems like a paranoid conspiracy theory, consider a 2011 study by three scientists at the Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology in Zurich.  Combining mathematics used to model natural systems with comprehensive corporate data, they traced the ownership to the transnational corporations.  From a database of 37 million companies and investors, the Swiss team constructed a model of which companies controlled others through shareholding networks, coupled with each company’s operating revenues, to map the structure of economic power.  Shockingly, the study confirmed the worst fears of conspiracy theorists and the Occupy Wall Street protestors, as their analysis of the relationship among 43,000 transnational corporations identified a relatively small group of companies – primarily banks – with disproportionate power over the global economy.[Jim Marrs, Lost Secrets Of The Gods, pg. 225].[1][Bold Emphasis Added]

As New Scientist avers in an article discussing the study:

“The work, to be published in PLoS One, revealed a core of 1318 companies with interlocking ownerships (see image). Each of the 1318 had ties to two or more other companies, and on average they were connected to 20. What’s more, although they represented 20 per cent of global operating revenues, the 1318 appeared to collectively own through their shares the majority of the world’s large blue chip and manufacturing firms – the “real” economy – representing a further 60 per cent of global revenues.”[2][Bold Emphasis Added]

As if that were not enough, the study also reveals:

“…a “super-entity” of 147 even more tightly knit companies – all of their ownership was held by other members of the super-entity – that controlled 40 per cent of the total wealth in the network. “In effect, less than 1 per cent of the companies were able to control 40 per cent of the entire network,” says Glattfelder. Most were financial institutions. The top 20 included Barclays Bank, JPMorgan Chase & Co, and The Goldman Sachs Group.”[3][Bold Emphasis Added]

Such unprecedented economic power is something to take note of and beyond unprecedented.  The fact that certain companies can control others through shareholder networks is something quite disturbing.

Furthermore, with certain interests such as David Rockefeller seeking the hyper-homogenization of the world, it’s easy to see that this is against the people’s best interests as seen in his own words.  This notion was related by Rockefeller himself, in his Memoirs in 2003:

“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structureone world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

That clearly leaves no doubt of the global control that certain individuals such as David Rockefeller seek.

Comedian George Carlin intimated this dilemma saliently.  For this we will cite him at length:

The real owners are the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians, they’re an irrelevancy. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the statehouses, the city halls. They’ve got the judges in their back pockets. And they own all the big media companies, so that they control just about all of the news and information you hear. They’ve got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want; they want more for themselves and less for everybody else.

“But I’ll tell you what they don’t want.  They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around the kitchen table and figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago.

You know what they want? Obedient workers people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork but just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And, now, they’re coming for your Social Security. They want your fucking retirement money. They want it back, so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all, sooner or later, because they own this fucking place. It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it. ”

Rockefeller, and the institutions that are seeking control of the world’s economy and finance [their very actions show this] aim to destroy individual sovereignty and national sovereignty.  All at our expense, literally.

Lets hearken back to Rockefeller’s very own words:

Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States… conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structureone world, if you will …If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it”

Such is the obvious nature of their insidious game.

If one values freedom, we need to remove our consent.

Individuals must be responsive, but incisive.

Financial interests want your money?  Let them earn it by doing things that matter instead of working against the interests of the people.

Vote with your dollars, where it counts.

We must stand our ground, for Big Money – as Rockefeller himself stated – is working against our interests.

True change begins within with each of us.  By being proactive is the only way that we as individuals are going to circumvent this incoming tsunami of control.

Our world will not begin to change until we move towards more conscious aware actions in all modes of life while becoming relentlessly proactive towards that which aids us most.

The power of individuals en mass is profound, and is multiplied when our actions are well thought out and cohesive as we move towards more positive goals, towards a better world.

Now let our proactive actions begin, for the sooner we each ignite into an engine of change the sooner they will realize we will not take this lying down.
