Of Bunkers & Bitcoin…& CERN Switzerland And…

Believe it or not, today’s blog may be related to the two previous days’ blogs. But what possible relationship could Bitcoin and for that matter, crypto-currencies in general have to CERN or to Argentina and the recent visits of Mr. Tillerson and Mr. Bezos there, to check out the “nature”.

Well, when Mr. M.A. sent the following article to me, he did so with some very suggestive high octane speculation of his own. He suggested that, perhaps, there might be a connection between CERN and crypto-currency mining. Why? Well, because there is a bunker in Switzerland which was built by the Swiss military as a command headquarters during the Cold War, and which now functions as a private corporate facility, surrounded by intense security, to guard crypto-currency encryption keys, the very things that drive blockchain:

The article itself points out the reason for all the security:

It’s odd to think of a virtual currency needing physical storage, but just like your most precious photos, cryptocurrencies need some kind of material container. A bitcoin vault doesn’t store actual bitcoin units. Technically, what’s being stored are private, cryptographic keys. These keys form a pair with public-facing keys and provide access to the balance of coins stored on the bitcoin network. Gaining unauthorized access to someone’s private key is akin to stealing their gold bar. The security protocol in the bunker is designed to ward off attacks from “well-funded terrorist groups or hackers.”

Stories of hackers finding their way through even the best-secured bitcoin accounts are legion, and—given that bitcoin was designed to make banks obsolete—it’s ironic that bank-like methods have to be used to keep cryptocurrencies safe.

If someone gets hold of your private key, there’s no way to claw the funds back or demand a refund. That’s why firms that store bitcoin like this one, called Xapo, are a juicy target—and why the bunker requires paranoiac levels of security.

But why would Mr. M.A. suggest a potential link to CERN? While his email was rather sketchy in details, I had to admit, as I allowed my own penchant for high octane speculation to run amok, he may have a point, for three basic reasons: (1) mining crypt-currencies requires a lot of electricity, something which CERN has in abundance; (2) mining crypto-currencies also requires a lot of computing power, something which CERN also has in an abundance rivaled probably only by the vast computing power of intelligence and signals-intercept agencies; and the real kicker is (3) CERN may be engaged in secret data analysis and correlation experiments, as I have speculated on numerous occasions. But it is also a sovereign entity, and could equally use that power as a means of very covert funding. Enter crypto-currencies, for as I’ve also pointed out on this site, stories have recently emerged that some very nefarious groups are using crypt-currencies to fund their operations and activities. So Mr. M.A.’s speculation may not be all that much of a stretch. (Hmmm… Switzerland, Templars, lots of money, Templar space satellites…. hmmm….)

But then, squatting in the middle of this article, something else caught my attention, and my jaw hit the floor. Recall that yesterday I blogged about the appearance of Mr. Jeff Bezos in Patagonia, tweeting about glaciers and saving the planet and space. Mr. Bezos, as most people know, is a billionaire, the founder of Amazon, owner of the Washington Post, and Amazon and the CIA are in turn related (and not just indirectly through the Post). Amazon is a huge database, if one wants to look at it a certain way, sitting on top of mountains of raw data of inestimable value to intelligence.

Mr. Bezos’ presence in Argentina is coincident with U.S. Secretary of State Tillerson’s, and again, Mr. Tillerson’s Argentinian junket began, not in Buenos Aires with a meeting with President Macri, but in San Carlos di Bariloche where, ostensibly, he was to give a speech to a nature preserve and meet with a Fullbright scholar.

Uh huh. Sure. Glaciers, Fullbright scholars, and nature preserves.

So what was squatting in the middle of the article?

Sit down, and have a couple of fingers of Jack Daniels, because this one is a stunner, and full of implications:

Xapo’s founder is the Argentinian entrepreneur Wences Casares, the “patient zero” of bitcoin among Silicon Valley’s elite. It was Casares who gave tech luminaries like Bill Gates and Reid Hoffman their first bitcoins. Carlos Rienzi, Xapo’s head of security, chose the vault, and he designed the private suite and its security protocols.(Emphasis added)

That’s right: the owner of this bunker, and one of the “founders” of Bitcoin, according to this article, and therefore, someone who sits on top of the Bitcoin op, is an Argentine “entrepreneur”.

Now let’s search for Senor Cesares. Wikipedia says this about him:

He is the founder and CEO of Xapo, a bitcoin wallet startup based in Palo Alto, California.^[2] Xapo is said to be the largest custodian of bitcoin in the world.^[3]Xapo has raised $40 million from leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms.^[4]

Casares sits on the board of PayPal and, as part of his non-profit activities, he serves on the board of Endeavor,^[5] a non-profit organization that promotes high-impact entrepreneurship in emerging markets and that was instrumental in his early success. He also served on the board of Kiva,^[6] a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty worldwide.

Originally from Patagonia, Argentina, Casares launched that country’s first Internet Service Provider, Internet Argentina S.A. in 1994, a company he would go on to sell in order to found the Argentine online brokerage Patagon in 1997. Patagon established itself as Latin America’s first comprehensive Internet financial services portal and expanded its online banking services to the United States, Spain, and Germany. Patagon was acquired by the Spanish bank, Banco Santander for $750 million which became Santader Online worldwide.

Oh… gee… look! He’s from Patagonia in Argentina!

And oh… gee…look: he has online banking services connected to Spain, the USA, and Germany!

And… wow… look again! It’s all being coordinated from a bunker!

Now the question is, who else, and what else, is he connected with?

And gee, this all sort of makes me wonder, with blockchain encryption, if crypto-currencies aren’t a perfect way to launder all sorts of missing money, and while doing so, manipulating their prices as well, kill two birds with one stone, so to speak…

The past week, besides being a week for what seems to be becoming a VLF

regular monthly installment of Antarctic strangeness, has also been a week of very bizarre technology and science stories, and this one was no exception. It was sent by Ms. K.M. and many others, and I have to talk about it, especially since I blogged about that Russian study of atmospheric gravity waves just a few days ago. Consider the implications of this one:

NASA Space Probes Have Detected a Human-Made Barrier Surrounding Earth

I want to draw attention to the following statements, for the form the basis and focus of today’s high octane speculation:

Recently, the Van Allen Probes detected something strange as they monitored the activity of charged particles caught within Earth’s magnetic field – these dangerous solar discharges were being kept at bay by some kind of low frequency barrier.

When researchers investigated, they found that this barrier had been actively pushing the Van Allen Belts away from Earth over the past few decades, and now the lower limits of the radiation streams are actually further away from us than they were in the 1960s.

So what’s changed?

A certain type of communications, called Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio communications, have become far more common now than in the 60s, and the team at NASA confirmed that they can influence how and where certain particles in space move about.

In other words, thanks to VLF, we now have anthropogenic (or human-made) space weather.

“A number of experiments and observations have figured out that, under the right conditions, radio communications signals in the VLF frequency range can in fact affect the properties of the high-energy radiation environment around the Earth,” says one of the team, Phil Erickson from the MIT Haystack Observatory in Massachusetts.

Most of us won’t have much to do with VLF signals in our everyday life, but they’re a mainstay in many engineering, scientific, and military operations.

Now, for those who don’t know, Very Low Frequency waves are waves that are generated by radio antennae – very long ones, as one can imagine – that are so big that they must be buried in the ground, in the Earth itself. The system, as the article points out, is used in military applications, one primary use being to communicate with submerged submarines. What many people do not know, is that the USA’s use of VLF ground-based antennae for military communications actually dates from World War One, when one of the first such systems was used to communicate with General “Black Jack” Pershing’s American Expeditionary Force in Europe. In effect, the system uses the Earth itself as the broadcast medium, or, if one prefers, the Earth becomes a component in the antennae itself, perhaps even a kind of amplifier.

In turn, this means (as one might expect), that the Earth begins to broadcast VLF waves into space.

And herewith we begin our high octane speculation of the day, because I cannot help but think that this is so elementary that NASA should hardly be surprised that the use of VLF broadcasting has had and is having an effect on “space weather.” On the contrary, I rather suspect that NASA(and other space agencies) knew all along that this would be the result; it is, after all, rather obvious. What is being measured, rather, is not the strength of their feigned surprise, but the strength and effects of the broadcast bubble itself. In short, we might be looking at what I have called in other contexts, “data correlation experiments”, i.e., experiments designed to correlate seemingly disjunct and disparate data sets, in this case, the strength (and perhaps frequencies) of VLF broadcasting, and changes in local space environment and solar wind deflection. While we’re at it, we might as well add the possibility that one might also look at correlations of broadcasting and solar activity, to see if perhaps resonance effects might be being induced in the Sun itself.

From these wild and woolly speculations, it’s a short step, of course, to the idea that this activity has been, to a certain extent, engineered deliberately. We have been told before that VLF ground antennae were for the purpose of military communication, as if this is the sole purpose they exist for. But, as noted above, the idea that this broadcast system would not have an effect on local “space weather” would seem to be the real surprise, not the discovery that it did. Thus, it is entirely possible in my view that this may have been – in addition to military communications – one of the original, and by the nature of the case, very top secret goals of using them.

To put all this as country simple as possible: in my high octane opinion of the day, we’re looking at military engineering of the entire planet (Farrell Corollary number one to the Kardashev classification system), in this case, perhaps for environmental defense, and possibly something much more.

Collider & Fusion Wars – Russia Plans New Fusion Reactor And…

One of the subjects we follow here at this website are the ongoing concerns with CERN’s large hadron collider. As readers here are aware, I’ve proposed my own admittedly wild and woolly high octane speculations about CERN’s machine, including some epistemological difficulties represented by it. How does one replicate its results independently of CERN’s collider itself? One can only do so by building a similar or bigger collider capable of operating at similar or higher energies. Additionally, I’ve proposed the high octane speculation that CERN might have other types of experiments going on, more secretive experiments in “data correlations” between collider activity and seemingly disconnected events, or experiments in “higher dimensionality” confirmations. Indeed, on the latter score, CERN has admitted that it is looking for higher dimensions. If one were a power such as China, and suspected such goings on were in fact “going on,” then this would provide another impetus to have their own version of it.

Thus, I’ve also proposed that CERN really set off a kind of “collider race,” to close the “collider gap,” much as the nuclear powers of the Cold War raced to “close the missile gap” by acquiring nuclear and thermonuclear weapons and the means of their delivery.

Additionally, we’ve seen interesting stories in the last year about this or that breakthrough in fusion, as German, MIT, and South Korean experiments have achieved very promising results in sustaining plasmas at fusion energies for time periods longer than just a few years ago. These results have not yet generated sustained reactions of several minutes, necessary if fusion power is ever to become a standard energy source. There is thus a “fusion reactor” race that is shaping up.

Interestingly enough, but not very surprisingly, Russia appears slated to enter this race, as the following articles demonstrate:

The new Russian experiment in plasma heating involves microwaves, and according to the Russian source (Sputnik) has already exceeded the required temperatures for fusion, meaning a practical reactor is now feasible:

The Institute is seeking financing for the GDML (gas dynamic trap) program, which is set to run until 2018, from the Russian Science Foundation,

“We have confirmed recent results on plasma heating to the temperature scale of ten million degrees; this is a very important milestone for our work. Now we can seriously begin to consider options for the establishment of fusion systems based on open traps,” Aleksander Ivanov told RIA Novosti. The scientist further explained that the institute now has in its possession microwave heating systems stationed at the Moscow-based Russia’s National Research Centre “Kurchatov Institute”, the country’s leading research and development institution in the field of nuclear energy, formerly known as Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy. The systems will allow them to increase steady plasma heating by three- or four-times, which would mean the completion of the first stage of work on the alternative reactor. Aleksander Ivanov further noted that the nuclear physicists are limited to steady plasma heating capacities of ten million degrees Celsius. However scientists suggest that in subsequent experiments, the plasma temperature will rise considerably, with the lowest figure required to create a nuclear fusion reactor already exceeded. Scientists have developed a promising method of generating plasma using powerful microwave radiation in a large-scale magnetic open trap (GDL), which successfully conducted experiments to improve plasma confinement in fusion parameters.

Notably, this method of heating and proposed containment is different from the ITER reactor being built in France, and in which Russia is a participant. To put this point a bit more plainly, Russia is seeking independent and different means of fusion initiation and containment, a race that clearly includes South Korea and Germany.

But the story that intrigues me even more is the Russian pursuit of an antimatter-matter collider using positrons and electrons (positrons are the opposite of electrons, having the same miniscule mass, but an opposite spin and charge polarity than electrons). There is a statement in the second Sputnik article about this collider that caught my attention, and I hope caught yours as well:

Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics Deputy Director Yevgeny Levichev discussed Russian physicists’ ambitious plans with Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency on Tuesday.

The Institute plans to create the Super Tau Charm Factory, a particle accelerator which would study the collision of beams of electrons (matter) and positrons (antimatter) in an effort to help to identify phenomena and processes beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. (Emphases added)

Of course, scientists already know that matter-antimatter reactions are total annihilation reactions, so what Russia intends to study is perhaps the patterns that emerge from such reactions, to see if perhaps they shed light on significant details of those reactions as yet unknown, and perhaps to see if they could have any practical applications. And Russians being Russians, I suspect, strongly, that this practical aspect is a huge part of their thinking. The very idea of “identifying phenomena and processes beyond the Standard Model of Particle Physics” means they are looking for something.

The question is what, and why? One answer, of course, might be evidence of higher dimensionalities. But the context and timing of the two articles also suggest something else, for note both articles appeared in the same outlet – Sputnik – on the same day, Jan 3rd of this year. I strongly suspect, in my high octane speculation of the day, that space is the hidden story here, for last year saw…

He also shows the undeniable similarity between the CERN Hadron Collider and a Nazi Physics project called The Bell” that was an underground Torsion Physics project built by slave labor and overseen by the top Nazi Paperclip Scientists to give them a master weapon to rule the world!

Deep State Nazi Connections

JFK was famously committed to “Smashing the CIA into a thousand pieces” as a way to root out the Nazi infiltration of the agency and regain control over the government from suspected Nazi collaborators like CIA director Allen Dulles.

The Ancient and Future Death Star

CERN has been mired in controversy since moving forward with its particle collider experiments over the objections of distinguished scientists who have observed unusual changes in the Earth’s magnetosphere when the collider is turned on. Some of these independent scientists have warned the public that hazardous by-products of the experiments called ’Strangelets’ pose a serious potential danger for the public at large and may damage the environment for centuries to come. CERN has also been accused of organizing occult rituals and being highly secretive during its scientific research with a public and private purpose for its vastly complex work. Attempts to sue CERN for its practices have fallen flat due to its unusual status as a ‘sovereign entity.’

Of Portals, Planes & Plasmas

Recall yesterday that I blogged about the possibility of their being in existence a secret “MH370 protocol” that might have arisen and been adopted by commercial airliners in the wake of hidden and secret conclusions about the strange disappearance of Malaysia Air Flight 370. The almost equally strange “emergency landing’ of British Airways flight 286 recently has me wondering once again just what the heck has been going on “up there,” and with the strange spate of space stories lately, plus the equally strange “space weather” executive order recently signed by Mr. Obama, I cannot help but wonder if all these things are somehow connected. Of course, there’s not a shred of evidence connecting British Air Flight 286 to that executive order, nor to Malaysia air flight 370, not a shred, not one whit, nothing, nadda, nichts.

So with that in mind, let’s launch ourselves into orbital speculations (critics would say into “cloud cuckoo land”) about all of this, for there have been a number of other stories that have been brought to my attention lately, that invite a sort of “Fortean” approach and speculation. Let’s begin by recalling that within a week of the disappearance of MH 370, I did an interview with the late Ms. George Ann Hughes of The Byte Show in which I entertained the speculation that the unfortunate aircraft had simply gone “poof”, that it had disappeared in some sort of “Bermuda triangle”-like incident. Later, Mr. George Noory and actor Richard Belzer published a book on the incident titled Someone is Hiding Something: What Happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, in which they also briefly entertain a similar scenario.

This incident caught my attention because I’ve long been personally interested in the Bermuda Triangle phenomenon, including the strange speculations advanced for it in the 1950s by UFOlogist and astronomer Morris K. Jessup, who speculated that perhaps air above the triangle or water within it was somehow momentarily “solidified” by standing waves and/or other phenomena, including highly anomalous and highly concentrated strong magnetic fields.

With that in mind, this article, shared these past few days by Mr. T.M. caught my eye:

Hidden Portals in Earth’s Magnetic Field

What intrigued me about the possibilities represented here is (1) the Bermuda triangle phenomenon is non-constant, i.e., it appears to have occurred only under certain times and conditions. Many times these conditions – where disappearances are reported – occur during periods where there is a strong “mist” over the area, oftentimes described as a light green color, a color familiar to people in the Midwest as a sign of the heavy ionization of the atmosphere that is reported during tornadic storms (thus indicating in their turn that these vorticular storms are primarily electromagnetic, and not thermal, in nature). Heavy ionization would in turn be caused by much higher than normal concentrations of particle bombardment, or even of highly concentrated and strong magnetic fields. Another word for all of this is a “plasma.” Under such circumstances, aircraft in the region would experience “technical failures” of their electrical equipment, and their navigation would be severely impaired. Recall in this connection the strange disappearance of Flight 17 during the immediately post-World War Two period in the Bermuda triangle, as the US Navy pilots reported a mist and that their compasses appeared to be malfunctioning, and that they were “lost.” Indeed they were lost, and most of the flight’s aircraft have not been located to this day… there was no wreckage, no bodies, no nothing, for years after its disappearance. Magnetic storms or particle bombardments could occur under the conditions indicated by the second article detailing the magnetic “portals” that sometimes occurs where the Earth’s and Sun’s magnetospheres touch. In fact, under certain circumstances, such portals might be technologically induced (CERN or HAARP, anyone?).

The Space Weather Executive Order – Speculations

So many people sent me articles about President Obama’s recent Executive Order regarding space weather that to neglect the story would have been almost a dereliction. As readers here are now aware, over the past week I’ve been blogging about space and UFO related matters. The reason why is simply that in addition to so many people emailing me versions of the Executive Order story, is that it occurred in the context of other such stories that I began to wonder if there was a connection between them and the order. We’ll get to that in today’s high octane speculation in a moment. But I want to recall two other things that I blogged about prior to this past week, and those are the strange statements coming out of Russia, and Iraq. Recall in that regard that a Russian spokeswoman warned of “tectonic consequences” if the USSA continued on course of its current chaos-inducing policies in the Middle East. As I argued then, that statement could be seen as a statement implying “tectonic shifts” in the geopolitical balance of forces. Or it could also be interpreted as a warning about the use of tectonic, earthquake weapons, or indeed both.

Similarly, the Iraqi transportation minister came out with a strange statement about Iraq being the home to ancient space ports, and he references the works of famous and now-deceased alternative researcher Zechariah Sitchin. Two days later, you’ll recall, the Russian general in charge of Russian forces in Syria, Igor Konshenkov, told the world that the Russian air defense systems in Syria were now operational, and that their range would be a “surprise” to “all unidentified flying objects,” a phrase that again could be taken in two senses: (1) unidentified aircraft in Syrian airspace, or (2) UFOs. Either way, the Russian general is not naive and chose his words carefully. And given the strange spate of Wikileaks emails we’ve examined this week about former Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell warning John Podesta about “space wars,” the Russian general’s comment take on yet another context suggesting that the second sense of his remarks cannot be excluded from the interpretive possibilities.

Which brings us to Mr. Obama’s Executive Order:

Executive Order — Coordinating Efforts to Prepare the Nation for Space Weather Events

One could produce volumes of high octane speculation concerning this order, but I wish to focus on the following paragraphs:

It is the policy of the United States to prepare for space weather events to minimize the extent of economic loss and human hardship. The Federal Government must have (1) the capability to predict and detect a space weather event, (2) the plans and programs necessary to alert the public and private sectors to enable mitigating actions for an impending space weather event, (3) the protection and mitigation plans, protocols, and standards required to reduce risks to critical infrastructure prior to and during a credible threat, and (4) the ability to respond to and recover from the effects of space weather. Executive departments and agencies (agencies) must coordinate their efforts to prepare for the effects of space weather events.

Sec. 3. Coordination. (a) The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), in consultation with the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), shall coordinate the development and implementation of Federal Government activities to prepare the Nation for space weather events, including the activities established in section 5 of this order and the recommendations of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), established by Executive Order 12881 of November 23, 1993 (Establishment of the National Science and Technology Council).

…

(a) The Secretary of Defense shall ensure the timely provision of operational space weather observations, analyses, forecasts, and other products to support the mission of the Department of Defense and coalition partners, including the provision of alerts and warnings for space weather phenomena that may affect weapons systems, military operations, or the defense of the United States.

(b) The Secretary of the Interior shall support the research, development, deployment, and operation of capabilities that enhance the understanding of variations of the Earth’s magnetic field associated with solar-terrestrial interactions.

…

(b) “Space weather” means variations in the space environment between the Sun and Earth (and throughout the solar system) that can affect technologies in space and on Earth. The primary types of space weather events are solar flares, solar energetic particles, and geomagnetic disturbances.

When one considers the entirety of the order in the context of these excerpted paragraphs, some disturbing high octane speculative potentials and implications emerge.

(1) The reference to the involvement of the Department of Defense raises the possibility that the Order cloaks an ultimately military purpose and agenda, as does the reference to the Department of Homeland Security’s counterrorism mission. Years ago, it will be recalled, Defense Secretary William Cohen during the Clinton Administration warned about terrorist groups having access to unconventional weapons of mass destruction, i.e., WMD’s that were not nuclear, biological, or chemical in nature. Mr. Obama’s Executive Order seems to be in line with this train of thinking.

(2) As such, the order raises the possibility that “space weather” may be the cloak behind which to disguise a weaponization of solar events, or the weaponized use by others of such events.

(3) In either case, one would be dealing with a “Farrell Corollary” to the Kardashev classification system, and hence with a “space war”. To refresh people’s memories, in my book Covert Wars and Breakaway Civilizations, I argued that if one were faced with a potential threat emanating from a Type I or II civilization in the Kardashev scheme, the way to respond to such a threat would be to leverage or engineer systems of planetary or stellar scale and to weaponize them in a kind of Mutually Assured Destruction doctrine. In the Kardashev scheme, class I and II civilizations are civilizations requiring the energy output of an entire planet, or star, respectively. Thus, leveraging or engineering such systems would give the appearance to any potential threat of being in a class I or II category.

(4) The reference to “understanding … variations of the Earth’s magnetic field associated with solar-terrestrial interactions” is precisely the kind of study I hypothesized might exist in connection with the operations of CERN’s large hadron collider, and with the growing evidence of its potential impact on the planetary magnetosphere, which could induce resonance-coupling effects in the Sun (see my The Third Way). I thus speculate and hypothesize that the Executive Order has now made that possibility public in a kind of backhanded way.

(5) The definition of space weather as anything in the “space environment” that “can affect technologies in space and on Earth” is a confirmation of the ultimately implicit military purpose of the order.

Of course, all of this is, indeed, very high octane speculation going far beyond the plain language of the text. But within the context of all that has been surveyed in the past days, and in the context of the strange remarks coming from Iraq’s transportation minister and – much more importantly – from Russian Major General Konshenkov, this reading I do not think in the final analysis can be definitively excluded.

This very interesting (at least, interesting to me, anyway) story was sent by Mr. V.T., and concerns the European Space Agency’s launch of three satellites to study the earth’s magnetic field:

Satellites suffer mystery blackouts: Thunderstorms on the edge of space may be causing loss of GPS signals

OK, so what, big deal? The Europeans are studying ionospheric storms and effects on GPS satellites and the Earth’s magnetic field.

Well, I told you that this is such “high octane speculation” that it’s now so far out that that it’s orbital speculation. I give full permission for anyone to say I might be just a few flies short of a Happy Meal, because I just might be. But nevertheless, since speculation is what we do here, I cannot help but speculate, so here goes:

Orbital Speculation One:

Europe, like the United States and a handful of other countries, is one of the few “countries”(since the EU isn’t a “country) to have ionospheric heaters, like the USSA’s celebrated and infamous HAARP facility (High Altitude Auroral Research Project). So much ink has been spilled over HAARP it’s probably not necessary to rehearse it all here. Essentially, HAARP is a series of phased array radio antennae capable for focussing radio waves in the gigawatt range into the ionopshere, thus “heating” it for study. As its critics (Jean Manning, Dr. Nick Begich, and Jerry Smith among many others) speculated, the original patents for the device, from the 1980s, suggested to them(and to this author), more sinister purposes, since it was also proposed as a means of manipulating weather precisely through the creation of high and low pressure regions in the ionosphere, and there was similar speculation – in the original patents – that the device could be used to create regions of high concentrations of “relativist particles” that could be used as missile defense shields, in effect scrambling the electrical circuits of ICBMs. There was even speculation that such devices could, with enough energy and charge differential, could be used to create enormous and highly concentrated lightning strikes on targeted regions of the Earth’s surface.

In Europe’s case, a similar device of similar energy output exists in Norway, called EISCAT (and predictably, the nation with the biggest interest in the device is Germany). There was speculation that the so-called Norway spiral which occurred shortly after president Obama took office, and which appeared to have interferred with a Russian missile test in the Arctic, was induced by EISCAT as a part of an anti-missile system test.

Thus, one might speculate that Europe would launch such satellites might have a more covert purpose than simply to “study the Earth’s magnetic field,” for such devices, in use, would inevitably, it would seem, have some sort of planetary-scaled effect on the planet’s magnetic field, at least locally if not regionally.

So what’s the conCERN here? Where’s the high octane speculation? China wants to build a bigger better version of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, so what?

In my book, The Third Way, I called CERN’s LHC a “cosmology cartel”, for the simple philosophical reason that it was a monopoly on cosmological-quantum mechanical science; there was no way to independently check its results unless one built a similar or larger collider, and hence, “big science” had marched itself into a philosophical corner: how would one duplicate results and confirm an experiment independently of the CERN Cartel itself? The question assumes some importance since CERN claims to have found the Higgs boson, the so-called “God-particle” that, in the standard theory, is responsible for imparting mass. Some, though not many, have questioned the result, thus casting a faint but palpable pall over its scientific ukases.

The only way to combat and verify such a priesthood is to have your own collider, and reperform the same experiments, which China wants to do.
