Recent Declassified Documents About Mars Discuss A Pyramid & A Lost Civilization 1 MILLION Years Ago

For quite a long time, Mars has served as a place of wonder.

In fiction, there have been many authors that have sparked the imagination of individuals in respect to the red planetary body.  It can be argued, however, that The War Of The Worlds, by H.G. Wells, was perhaps the quintessential turn in fiction which served to firmly inculcate consistent focus on the ancient Red Planet.  Another notable writer, Edgar Rice Burroughs, added to the Red Planet mythos when he published A Princess Of Mars, which was part of part of a series of stories he published on the red planet.

In modern times, it has been argued, that in addition to Mars containing pyramids on its surface, the red planet also contains a face on its surface.

Former NASA consultant, researcher, author and writer Richard C. Hoagland covers in his highly intriguing book, The Monuments Of Mars – A City On The Edge Of Forever [review here] that Mars features extensive evidence for artificial edifices, which do not seem natural in form, as well as many other anomalies which have mathematical properties on the surface.

To add a few more buckets of fuel onto the embers of the subject of Mars, the CIA recently declassified documents on Mars, which will undoubtedly bring forth much rumination and speculation.

The recent declassified CIA document in question is named “CIA-RDP96-00788R001900760001-9“.  This document is aptly titled Mars Exploration.  This declassification by the CIA was part of an extensive declassification of documents that took place in January, which cover a variety of highly thought-provoking topics.

Dating back to May 22, 1984, the document purports to be a transcript of an experiment conducted a few decades ago which attempted to remote view Mars approximately at approximately 1 Million years B.C.

Before continuing, as a preamble, it’s highly intriguing, and profoundly suggestive, that each of the exact coordinates that were given yielded rather astonishing results.  The possibility of this being a ‘random’ remote viewing probe ceases to decrease, and the probability of it being a follow up remote view and reconnaissance session at that time  increases quite drastically.  If this contention is correct, Mars would have to have been under some type of remote viewing surveillance for at least some time.  That’s just my personal speculation however.

After beginning to remote view the object, the subject begins:

rvm1
As we can gather, the remote viewer has spotted what seems to be a pyramid-like structure, which could go on to corroborate the possibility of there being pyramids on Mars, as covered by Richard C. Hoagland in his book.

After proceeding to new coordinates, the subject covers another notable point in the document, which is quite evocative:

rvm2

As we can gather, we begin by noting that there is an object that seems like an obelisk found, which is very peculiar to say the least.  However, the fact that the CIA individual that was  prompting the remote viewer made no effort to spend additional time on the object [or the pyramid for that matter], which should have put their suspicion meter into the red zone, leads me to believe that this particular remote viewing session, or at least this particular coordinate reading, was carried out to confirm previous readings carried out prior to this.

Ironically, a place on Earth where we see Pyramids and an obelisk is Egypt.  Now, to double-down, or triple-down on our ‘coincidences’, let’s take a gander at an excerpt that was published in the renown Journal of the British Interplanetary Society, which contained a chapter heading named, Signpost to Mars.  This was mentioned by Richard C. Hoagland, in his book The Monuments Of Mars – A City On The Edge Of Forever:

“One of the weirdest coincidences of the whole affair is that Cairo, the site of the (two greatest) pyramids, was originally named El-Kahira, from the Arabic El-Kahir – “Meaning Mars…””[1]

As Richard C. Hoagland excitedly intimates:

“Again – what were the random probabilities that there would exist two isolated worlds, both with “pyramids” and “sphinxes,” and now, that the one site on this planet where the most perfect, most archetypal form still stand – Cairo – would also form the key linguistic bridge that links those worlds…!?”[2][Bold Emphasis Added]

It surely boggles the mind, does it not?

Now, getting back on track, let’s take a look at the last tidbit of evidence which moves these ‘coincidences’ from the realm of randomness, and into the realm of coordination, by taking a gander at the last peculiar bit of data:

rvm3
rvm4

Although the document alludes to many different topics which that be covered, for our purposes, we will focus only on the fact that the document speaks of there being an ancient civilization that lived on Mars.  The remote viewer himself states that he perceived them to be ancient people.

A pyramid, an obelisk, and a civilization, all on Mars, all covered within a declassified CIA document.  What else does the Red Planet harbor within its confines?

Admittedly, remote viewing isn’t an exact science, and it’s more like an art, but this document isn’t the only piece of evidence showcasing oddities on Mars.

In fact, the book The Cydonia Codex – Reflections from Mars by George J. Haas & William R. Saunders [Review Here] brings forth extensive evidence for there being a correlation between geoglyphs on mars, and geoglyphs found throughout the Earth.  Some of the cultures that feature these geoglyphs on Earth are the Aztec, the Olmec, Maya and more.[3]

Lastly, but surely not less important, plasma physicist, and former NASA employee, Dr. John Brandenburg Ph.D., has postulated that Mars contains evidence of a nuclear catastrophe in its past.  Dr. Brandenburg came to this particular conclusion based on the fact that Mars contains Xenon-129, thorium and uranium, which are elements that are not of natural origins, and only come about from what he postulates as nuclear explosions, in extremely enormous yields.

For more information on Dr. Brandenburg’s hypothesis, please watch the presentation below, which took place at the Secret Space Program & Breakaway Civilization Conference in Bastrop Texas, in 2015, which yours truly was lucky enough to attend.  If you have any interest in these types of subjects, there are many more presentations which took place at the conference from many notable speakers such as Dr. Joseph P. Farrell, Jim Marrs, Catherine Austin Fitts, and more, all of which are just as intriguing as this one, albeit covering a variety of topics, and which have resounding implications.

The Covert Op To Neuter The Rebel

Matrix

February23, 2017

If you want to track a civilization as it collapses, watch what happens to the concept of the rebel.

From the 1960s onward—starting with Lee Oswald and the assassination of JFK—the whole idea of “the rebel” with power has been sequentially updated and repackaged. This is intentional.

The objective is to equate “rebel” with a whole host of qualities—e.g., runaway self-serving paranoia; random destruction; out-of-control drug use; generalized hatred; the commission of crimes…

On a lesser, “commercialized” level, the new rebel can define himself by merely showing up at a concert to scream and drink heavily and break something, having already dressed to make a dissident fashion statement. He can take an afternoon off from college classes and have his arms tattooed. All the while, of course, he functions as an avid consumer of mainstream corporate products.

You even have people who, considering themselves rebels of the first order, support a government that spies on its people 24/7, launches military attacks all over the world, and now funds a Manhattan Project to map every move of the 100 billion neurons of the brain, for the ultimate purpose of controlling it.

Going back as far as the 1950s, the so-called decade of conformity, psyops professionals sculpted notions of The Rebel: He was the person who, because he had psychological problems, didn’t want to take part in the emerging bland corporate culture.

He was imagined and presented as troubled, morose; a wobbly unfocused JD Salinger Holden Caulfield, or an unkempt beatnik, a Madison Avenue caricature of somebody who opposed Madison Avenue.

In other words, the people who were shaping the consumer culture were creating the image of the rebel as a cartoon figure who just didn’t want to buy into “the good life.”

Time Magazine ran a cover story on the beatniks, and characterized them as a disaffected trend. Marlon Brando, heading up a bunch of moronic motorcycle riders, invaded a town of pleasant clueless citizens and took it over, wreaking destruction. The 1953 movie was The Wild One. James Dean, who had the same trouble Brando did in articulating a complete sentence, was “the rebel without a cause” in the “iconic film” of the same name. He raced cars toward cliffs because his father couldn’t understand him.

These were all puff pieces designed to make rebels look ridiculous, and they worked. They also functioned to transmit the idea to young people that being a rebel should be a showbiz affectation. That worked, too.

Then the late 1960s arrived. Flower children, in part invented by the major media, would surely take over the world and dethrone fascist authority with rainbows. San Francisco was the epicenter. But Haight-Ashbury, where the flowers and the weed were magically growing out of the sidewalks, turned into a speed, acid, and heroin nightmare, a playground for psychopaths to cash in and steal and destroy lives. The CIA, of course, gave the LSD culture a major push.

For all that the anti-war movement eventually accomplished in ending the Vietnam war-crime, in the aftermath many of those college students who had been in the streets—once the fear of being drafted was gone—scurried into counselors’ offices to see where they might fit into the job market after graduation. The military industrial complex took its profits and moved on, undeterred.

The idea of the rebel was gone. It later resurfaced as The Cocaine Dealer, the archangel of the 1980s.

And so forth and so on. All these incarnations of The Rebel were artificially created and sustained as psyops. At bottom, the idea was to discredit the Individual, in favor of The Group.

Now, in our collectivist society of 2017, The Group, as a rapidly expanding victim class, is the government’s number one project. It’s a straight con. “We’re here to make you worse off while we ‘lift you up’.”

In the op to demean, distort, and squash the rebel, there is a single obvious common denominator: the establishment media are doing the defining; they are the ones who are setting the parameters and making the descriptions; they are the ones who build the cartoons; looking down their noses, pretending to a degree of sympathy, they paint one unflattering picture after another of what the rebel is and does and says; they have co-opted the whole game.

These days, the ultimate rebels, the media would have you believe, are “gun-toting racist bitter clingers who have religion.” Another attempt to shape a distorted unflattering portrait

You can take a whole host of political films and television series of the past 50 years, and look at them for signs of the Rebel: Seven Days in May, Advise and Consent, The Candidate, The Seduction of Joe Tynan, Dave, Primary Colors, The Contender, Good Night and Good Luck, The American President, West Wing, Scandal, The Newsroom…

Good acting, bad acting, drama, message—at the end you’re looking for the core. What do the rebel heroes really stand for? What are their principles? It’s all bland. It’s vague. It has the posturing of importance, but little else.

As I was finishing this piece, a friend wrote with a quote attributed to Robert Anton Wilson: “The universe is a war between reality programmers.”

This is exactly where the real rebel enters the scene. He’s not trying to program people. Freedom means cutting loose from programming.

The Rebel doesn’t go to the market and choose which reality program he wants. They’re all used up as soon as they come out of the package.

“THIS or THAT” is the history of Earth: choose reality program A or B. The choice was always a con.

We’re well into a time period when the experts and scientific authorities are settling on the human being as a biological machine that can only respond to programming. That’s their view and their default position.

It’s sheer madness, of course, but what else do you expect? We’re in an intense technological age, and people are obsessed with making things run smoother. They treat their precious little algorithms for control like the Crown Jewels. They’re terribly enthusiastic about the problem they’re solving, and that problem is us.

We’re the wild cards, a fact which they take to be result of our improper and incomplete conditioning. They aim to…

We warned you it would happen, and now it has: The anti-Trump, pro-globalist Left is moving quickly to punish independent media outlets who support the 45th president and treat him fairly with honest coverage of him and his administration.

Earlier this week Alex Jones’ Infowars lost a $3 million-a-year ad content deal when the company, AdRoll, decided to suddenly drop them, despite the high volume of traffic his web properties receive, over charges that the site publishes ‘fake news.’ It doesn’t; in fact, if anyone publishes fake news, it’s the many other web properties the company is continuing to do business with. If this angers you as a liberty-minded person who believes in the constitutional principle of free speech, let AdRoll know you’re angry.

Then there was the takedown this week of conservative provocateur and enthusiastic Trump supporter Milo Yiannopoulos by an alleged “conservative” group called the Reagan Battalion, whom virtually no one had heard of before. The group published a selectively-edited video of Yiannopoulos appearing to condone homosexual sex between adults and 13-year-old boys; the takedown cost him a $250,000 book deal, his job at Breitbart, and an invitation to the Conservative Political Action Committee meeting, which began Wednesday evening. Come to find out, Reagan Battalion actually has ties to the far-Left group Indivisible, as the Gateway Pundit reported. This group is one of those behind the staged protests at GOP lawmakers’ town hall meetings. Board members to the group have indirect links to Alt-Left George Soros groups. (RELATED: Pay attention to these three financial experts if you want to survive the coming financial superstorm)

Shopify, an e-commerce platform, was threatened by organized Left-wing groups to drop Breitbart as a content provider, but the CEO graciously defended his decision not to do so, despite coming under intense pressure from the real purveyors of censorship. He may not like Breitbart’s political slant, but as a true believer in free speech, he refused to cave to the demands of would-be authoritarians.

And now, Natural News is under assault – by Google, a multi-billion dollar company that built everything that it has become on the premise that the World Wide Web ought to be a place where censorship went to die and freedom of speech and expression flourished for all.

We were notified early Wednesday that some 140,000 previously indexed pages – our catalog of stories – has been removed from the search engine giant, almost as if we’d never existed. The reason? We’re not sure yet, but as our founder/editor, Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has observed, it’s very likely an arbitrary decision directly tied to our commitment to the truth, to fair, unbiased coverage of President Donald Trump, and our penchant for taking on the medical, social and political establishments with hard-core vigilance and take-no-prisoners style.

Facts are inconvenient things, we are told, and no one epitomizes that more than those on the insane Left. When they encounter people who simply disagree with them, they always defer to the solutions of banishing them, taking away their ability to express themselves, or shouting them into silence. Never have they resorted to open and honest debate, allowing two separate voices to be heard on the issues so as to allow all of us the opportunity to make informed decisions based on all the evidence and all the facts. In the past, voices of conservative dissent were rarely heard because the Left owned the press; today, however, that ownership has been subjugated by the flourishing of the independent, online media. In cyberspace, the competition of ideals is fully achievable, but that’s a problem for the Left because when shown the light of day, they lose the debates.

Barack Obama and Democrats could have never told Americans that Obamacare would result in the loss of personal insurance plans, that deductibles would skyrocket, that out-of-pocket expenses would rise dramatically, and that you couldn’t keep your doctor. So they lied about the law in order to get it passed. George W. Bush and Republicans could not reveal that provisions of the USA Patriot Act would grant presidents carte blanche authority to order American spy agencies to vacuum up all of our personal data, or they would have never been able to pass it. And so on. (RELATED: All you need to know about the discredited mainstream media, in one Mika Brzezinski quote)

The Internet was supposed to be the final answer to free and open debate, real representative democracy and the free-flowing exchange of ideas – but we allowed it to be hijacked by the same anti-choice, anti-free speech forces the ‘Net was supposed to thwart. That’s the Google faction, by the way.

Well, at least there are ways around this abject censorship. Here’s what we need our wonderful Natural News readers and supporters to do:

— Stop using ‘mainstream’ search engines like Google and Yahoo, as well as social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. They are limiting your information.

— Use GoodGopher.com for searching, and become a social media warrior at Share.NaturalNews.com, where there is NO censorship, just liberty.

— Sign up for the Natural News daily newsletter (below) and get our content sent straight to you.

Why Beauty is So Important

The Fibonacci Series in a Sunflower Head

Source: TheMindUnleashed.com
Christina Sarich
February 23, 2017

You’ve heard of the halo effect, perhaps, that ascribes certain desirable traits to people who are attractive even if they don’t possess those traits, like kindness or intelligence. Though we spend a lot of time vexed by the powers of beauty and the attempts of the advertising culture to force-feed a certain type of beauty into our psyches, we shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Beauty, in a sacred sense is vital. It moves us. It compels us to change. It creates awe and wonder. In its true form — beauty as the divine ratio — is apparent in the smallest creature as well as in the solar system and planets, and beyond.

The contrived, politicized, patriarchal vision of beauty has nothing to do with the real thing. Airbrushed automatons plastered on the covers of magazines don’t represent the Da Vinci-esque ratio of perfection, nor the true beauty of nature. This beauty doesn’t tear us down. It rebuilds us.

A Japanese study, released by the University of Kyoto and published in Public Health, entitled, ‘Psychological effects of forest environments on healthy adults: Shinrin-yoku (forest-air bathing, walking) as a possible method of stress reduction‘ describes a link between walking in forests and reducing chronic stress, but why?

Leonardo Da Vinci used the divine proportion or golden ratio (also known as the Fibonacci sequence) in many of his own works, including his sketch of the Vitruvian Man, even before his collaboration with Pacioli, but even this artist was simply copying the beauty evident all around with eyes to see.

Da Vinci's Vetruvian Man is Based on Divine Proportion.

This divine architecture reminds us, even at a subconscious, cellular level that we need to align with it. This is why it is so pleasing to us when we see such exquisiteness on a simple walk in the forest. This beauty offered by nature is in every flower, in seed heads, pine cones, the organization of tree limbs, and in sea shells, but it is repeated even in galaxies. When we make contact with this divine beauty, we innately know if we are in alignment with it, or have somehow strayed from its inherent message.

The Golden Ratio Abounds in Nature

Beauty, in its true form, is our touchstone to Creation. Animals, bees, bird flight patterns, human faces, even hurricanes are formed with these proportions. It is nature’s template for physical reality. The more imbued with beauty that we are, the more beautiful we become – because what we focus on, becomes our reality.

Perfect Beauty in a Nautilus Shell

More importantly, beauty speaks to the soul. It has no value to our mortal bodies. We can’t eat it, or sell it – not the real thing. It doesn’t provide us warmth on a cold night but it does provide us nourishment – the kind that most of us are sorely uninformed we need. All that is beautiful leads to God. A reverence for nature, the creative arts, the keeping of a beautiful home, even.

We don’t need artificial intelligence or a billionaire’s dollars to remake a city. An artist’s hand and a few seeds can cover barren walls, and give us a sense of peace. Beauty makes us act differently. As one writer explains,

Divine Beauty in a Spiral Galaxy

If you’re in an environment where there’s a bunch of waste on the ground, it’s easy not to care for that place, to add your filth to the existing filth. By making a place beautiful, which often means simply peeling back the layers of what is already there, we remove the distractions. We are able to see the existing beauty more clearly, and we are able to start to begin to care.”

The Fibonacci Series in a Sunflower Head

Beauty observed in the world around us makes us act more beautifully. We think more beautifully. We are reminded that we are the instruments of the Divine. Will you plant flowers, or will you plant trash. Will you re-create the divine or destroy it? Because we need beauty more than ever.

TSA caught in massive $100 million cocaine cover-up

Image: TSA caught in massive $100 million cocaine cover-up

February 23, 2017

The debate between liberty and security is one that the American people have been having for centuries. Indeed, Ben Franklin once famously said, “those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” But in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, many Americans – certainly not all, but many – are starting to come to terms with forfeiting a bit of their liberty in exchange for safety.

This is the case in the security lines at airports, where TSA agents at times go as far as groping travelers to ensure that those passing through don’t have any bad intentions. As a result, the Transportation Security Administration has been the subject of debate for quite some time now. Mostly the controversy has revolved around civil liberties and privacy rights, but now a new TSA controversy has surfaced – and it’s a criminal offense. (RELATED: Read about how congress is expanding the TSA to alternative forms of transportation)

In a case that analyzed the infiltration of the TSA by transnational criminal organizations, 12 current and former agents as well as other airport staff members have been charged with assisting in the transport of over 20 tons of cocaine over nearly two decades, a quantity that is worth over $100 million.

Between the years 1988 and 2016, these TSA agents have successfully smuggled 40,000 pounds of the drug through Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in San Juan into the U.S., according to the Department of Justice.

The official press release from the DOJ described how six TSA agents “allegedly smuggled multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine while employed as TSA Officers at the San Juan airport. Their full-time responsibilities were to provide security and baggage screening for checked and carry-on luggage that was to be placed on outbound flights from the LMMIA.” The report went on to say that these employees smuggled the cocaine straight through the TSA X-Ray machines and onto the airplanes without ever raising any suspicions.

Rosa Emilia Rodriguez-Velez, U.S. Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico, said, “these arrests demonstrate the success of the AirTAT initiative, which has successfully allocated a dedicated group of state and federal law enforcement officers, whose mission is to ensure that our airports are not used in the drug traffickers’ illicit businesses.” Of course, it’s a good thing that these drug traffickers were caught but it’s a shame that it had been going on for two decades before they were brought to justice.

The DOJ statement went on to describe the criminal nature of TSA agent Javier Ortiz, an employee of Airport Aviation Services. Ortiz would specifically target suitcases that he knew contained cocaine and place them through the X-Ray machine himself, often paying fellow TSA agents to look the other way. Ortiz would then take the suitcases to their designated flights, avoiding K-9 units that would be able to detect the drugs that were hidden inside. Once he had the bags loaded onto the plane, Ortiz would simply call the drug trafficking organization he was affiliated with and give them the all clear.

Jose Baquero, the federal security director for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, said in a press release, “This investigation was initiated by TSA as part of its efforts to address employee misconduct and specific insider threat vulnerabilities. TSA has zero tolerance for employees engaged in criminal activity to facilitate contraband smuggling.”

If the defendants are convicted, they face anywhere from ten years to life in prison.

The most unfortunate thing about this case is the fact that the TSA was engaged in the very thing it claims it tries to prevent. Even though it was only a handful of rogue employees, it still does a tremendous disservice to the agency as a whole. If you can’t even trust the gatekeepers, then who exactly can you trust? (RELATED: You won’t believe what TSA agents did to this blind and deaf teenage girl).

Google’s Artificial Intelligence Learns “Highly Aggressive” Behavior, Concept of Betrayal

What if AI was our last invention? – Technology Lifestyle
Source: TheMindUnleashed.com
Cassius Methyl
February 20, 2017

An artificial intelligence created by Google recently made headlines after learning “highly aggressive” behavior.

The intelligence engaged in a wolfpack hunting game scenario, and a fruit gathering scenario. The wolfpack game was based on cooperation, but the fruit game got strange.

In the fruit game, the AI were represented by colored squares, moving on a grid to collect fruit squares of a different color. They racked up points, and the fruit squares would regenerate. The AI competed on their own like human players in a video game.

The interesting part is, they were also given the ability to damage the other intelligence. They were able to attack the other player by shooting beams at them.

They found that the AI would become more aggressive as the fruit squares became more scarce: when less fruit was present, they attacked each other more frequently.

Summarized by Extreme Tech:

Guess what the neural networks learned to do. Yep, they shoot each other a lot. As researchers modified the respawn rate of the fruit, they noted that the desire to eliminate the other player emerges “quite early.” When there are enough of the green squares, the AIs can coexist peacefully. When scarcity is introduced, they get aggressive. They’re so like us it’s scary.

While this is similar to a computer game and not actual artificially intelligent robots, it could foreshadow something else. This article doesn’t need to tell you where it could go.

Perhaps a better question would be, what is the consequence of trusting a corporation like Google to become so massive? How will this technology ever suit the bottom class when it is developed by the wealthiest?

Ohio finds speed cameras “unconstitutional,” city forced to pay back millions

Image: Ohio finds speed cameras “unconstitutional,” city forced to pay back millions
Source: NaturalNews.com
Jayson Veley
February 23, 2017

I’ve been involved in political commentary for almost ten years now, so naturally during that time I’ve read thousands upon thousands of political stories. What I’ve found is that the more I learn about our country, and the more I observe the modern day political climate, the more striking similarities I see between America and the George Orwell novel 1984.

We currently live in a country where “big brother” is no longer merely a concept inside a fiction book. From oppressive gun laws to the NSA tapping into private phone calls, federal databases to televisions that are capable of spying on you, it is nearly impossible to deny the fact that the size and scope of the government is expanding. (RELATED: This company has built a profile on every American adult in the country).

A relatively new piece of technology is speed cameras, which are beginning to pop up in cities and heavily populated areas across the country. These cameras are capable of detecting the speed of a passing vehicle. If the vehicle is speeding, the machine captures an image of the vehicle, which is clear enough to reveal the car’s color, type, make and license plate number. Additional information is also recorded, including the date and time of the offense, the direction in which the vehicle was traveling, the speed of the vehicle, the speed limit in the area, and even the lane that the vehicle was traveling in. But just because this technology is clearly advanced and capable of doing many things does not mean that it’s without flaws.

In 2013, a small group of lawyers in New Miami, Ohio, filed a lawsuit against the cities speed cameras, arguing that the technology was unconstitutional because they strip citizens of their due process rights. The cameras, created and set up by a private vendor called Optotraffic, would record the required information and then automatically send the driver a bill for up to $180 in the mail.

In total, Optotraffic was able to collect $3,066,523.00 from drivers passing through a small stretch of road on U.S. 127, which links Cincinnati with north parts of the state. Now, Judge Michael A. Oster Jr. of Butler County Court of Common Pleas has ruled that the city must pay back every cent of it.

“If the government has created an unconstitutional law/ordinance that has taken people’s money without affording them the necessary due process protections, should not justice demand, and the law require, restitution of that money to the people?” Judge Oster asked in his ruling. “Once the complexities of the law are analyzed, the answer is simple: yes.”

Although the city tried to fight the ruling in Ohio’s second highest court, in the end, Judge Oster’s ruling was so obvious that the Supreme Court didn’t even feel the need to get involved in the matter.

This wasn’t the first time that automated speed cameras have done a disservice to the people. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel had established the same system a couple of years ago to keep a watchful eye on the streets. Yet these cameras were improperly used, ticketing people at times when the cameras were supposed to be off and the warning signs were either confusing or flat out missing. As a result, the program improperly collected over $2.4 million in fines. Not only are these ticketing machines a violation of our civil liberties, but they also suck millions of dollars out of the pockets of American citizens, many of whom are already struggling as it is.

Upholding the law is certainly important – after all, without law and order our society would cave in on itself like a house of cards. But without the Constitution and our inalienable rights, we are in the dark.
