Here is 100% proof that most lettuces and greens can take frost and their leaves can freeze with no issue. Cold makes them sweeter! Get them transplanted early in the spring when the frost is still around and start them early in the fall/late summer as they can grow through the frost of cold nights. Lettuces and greens are two season crops in many zones.
